Losing a much loved friend is really hard to reconcile, especially when you talk with them daily and share so much with them. Sharon's joys were for life, family, friends, her garden and her beloved pets, Sunshine and Daisy. She exemplified all that is kind and caring.

@Vic and @abhege Vic and Arlene Group hug Thank you for being there for all of us who loved and admired Sharon. It was an act of love and respect for a truly special Woman. Sharon may not be here with us, but she will always remain in our hearts and memories.

Definitely thanks for sharing, and I really hope her stories can be published. As I mentioned once before, I do genealogy and my people moved to Johnson County, KY during the Civil War. When I'm in Ashland, KY, I always visit the Jesse Stuart Foundation because they have a great bookstore with local authors. There are historical works, genealogies, but also cookbooks, memoirs, and I've purchased books about wildflowers and field guides, too. I tree-mailed Sharon years ago to tell her how well I thought an anthology of her stories would fit in with the JSF goals. And not only that, but how I felt her stories capture a lot of knowledge that is being lost in a time when many are trying to rediscover it. I felt like they had to be captured before they were gone. I sincerely hope her family pursues publishing her stories and shares that gift with all of us. I'd happily pitch in for a Kickstarter campaign for self-publishing!

Arlene,
Thanks to you and Vickie for the great job you've done on the new cubit honoring Sharon. The banner is especially nice, and the pictures add to the quality!

vic said:Hetty, I wasn't physically with her - we texted back and forth beginning Friday afternoon and through the night until she went into surgery Saturday morning.

Of course Sharon being Sharon, around 2:30 am she said - you better get some sleep Lovey dubby I told her I was taking cat naps between our texts.

It was actually Toni (skiekitty) that called and told me Sharon had passed away. Toni knew I wasn't on Facebook so she called to tell me.

I've said this to Trish and Dave many times over the years and it's especially true this evening - Thank you both for the wonderful, lasting, sweet, precious friendships all because of the two of you! God Bless you both Group hug Group hug

I had to chuckle reading your post...Sharon kept me up way into the wee hours a time or two.

I felt guilty as she was older, thinking I kept her up.
Now I am questioning that. 😊

One of our last conversations before she flew away...I told her that I had been worried..I saw no posts and had no contact with her for 2 months.

She had been ill ..I told her not knowing what else to do, I had checked the obituaries in her home town and where she currently lived.
She had a good laugh at that. I know she has the angels in stitches.

Oh Vicki and Rosie,
Sharon comes back to life any time someone talks about her.

Vicki,
My same sentiments to Dave and Trish. My gardening friends are so precious to me. We have all shared our lives and are forever intertwined. Even those I've only been on forums with occasionally. If I remember your user name. I know you.
