I'm going to try crossing those with "blocky" (wide) forms. Any suggestions? Some of those I've ordered or planted, with that form in mind, haven't bloomed yet.

Keith Keppel says Haunted Heart has been a great parent that passes its form, ruffles, and often subtle lines to its offspring.

It is a beauty, but I have tried every year I've had blooms on it and have not had any luck setting seeds either way.

I have a tiny seedling of Mandela x Haunted Heart. (what was blooming at that moment!)

I really like the purple. It has pretty good form from those pics. Might be another keeper, not necessarily for the purple, but now the reblooming and form. Some further back traits could show up in another cross.

The haunted heart cross in my eyes, no. Not a fan of the form that much or those ruffles. It could change though.

And please be critical of mine when the day comes. I'm not that critical, but the purple just stands out in ways for me vs the last pic. Great stuff and ready for more. Gonna be a fun winter for pics

I love the splendid falls on that cross Tom. Are the standards a faint pink?

It has just a bit of pink blush in the standards. I think this was my favorite of the new ones to open this year. It's fertile too, so I have seeds from it that I will start this winter. It's one that looks so much better then a picture.

These are all very nice glad you got some bloom from your seedlings this year. My favorite part of the season is seeing them bloom for the 1st time good or bad the process is a lot of fun..

Haunted Heart is very pollen fertile but I have never had luck with it setting pods, it will pass the lines onto the falls and is a good parent for form if it grows well there keep trying it.

Thanks Brad, It's fun to see what you get for sure, but so far I haven't had any show stoppers like you have! Haunted Heart has been kind of an every other year bloomer here. I will remember that I need to just try the pollen if it blooms this year.

Somehow I forgot to post this one, it's another Gypsy Lord x Can't Touch This cross. I bloomed an SDB size this year. It was a lot different from the others of this cross.
