Third one is kind of meh for me. Still like that color on the falls [oops, I mean standards] (a lot), but the first two overall had enough contrast/color/variety to be more interesting.

Tom,
I like the streaks on the falls of the first one and the colours of the second one. If I have to be honest, none of them excite me enough to buy them. Are they Emma Cook patterns? I think I just prefer other patterns much more.

I only like the first one. Too bad it did not make it. Really has the attributes of Brazilian Art which I like.

I didn't like the last one at all! It's history. Hilarious! But I'm going to show the good the bad and the ugly.

I'm not sure what you would call the pattern, Robin.

I really liked the first one best and the last one least, but I don't think they are different enough from what I already ordered the past couple of years. I do enjoy seeing the results of the hard work in hybridization. Thank You!

Tom, I'm really glad your doing this thread. I'm learning a lot by seeing the siblings. I know they can be completely different from each other but it's interesting to see how similar they are also.

They are really interesting variations of the same pattern. I don't like #2. Too bad the first one has growth problems. #3 is rather nice, but would like to see it another year. How are bud count, branching etc?

The first one had nice branching and bud count. The second one had nice branching, and the last one I don't remember, I just didn't like it at all so didn't pay much attention to it.

This one is Dipped In Dots x Gypsy Lord. I have two from this cross, and neither one is anything like I thought it would be. Shrug! I'll post the second one later.

DID x GL is one you can work on, in my opinion. I'd keep the seedling....unless there's a better one with bolder characteristics your looking for.

Now I'm still learning, but looks like the annocynthian traits from GL took over the standards. Don't know if that's a pollen parent trait??

I do like the style crest with the washed blue to it. That to me is like a cool pair of laces on some sneakers;gives it a little more character.

Haft markings carried too, which is a plus in my eyes. Form of the standards is great as the falls are alright.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

I like the form a lot on this one. I agree that you should keep it and work with it some more. I wonder if any more of the Dipped In Dots traits would come out if you made further crosses.

When I first saw it I didn't like it much, but the first bloom wasn't as nice as the later blooms. I do like the gold beard, and I may work with it to see what happens in future generations. It's a bloom that changes some as it ages, but for the better.
