You can see it has four branches in that last pic.

This one reminds me of Grace Upon Grace, which I love but it doesn't love my garden. If that seedling keeps increasing I sure would love one of the increases someday. Your iris grow really well here.

Grace Upon Grace is a so so grower here, but the stalks always seem to need support.

That Gypsy Lord cross is such a wonderful shade of blue!

Many of this cross look a lot like their parents, like this one, some with more yellow on the beard then others.

I love the white & blue one with a little dart. I don't have one like that in my garden yet.

This bloom was very large. The first one to open was larger then the later blooms. I did not have good substance, however.

Awwww Tom! You will always be a man of substance to me!


Ahem... returning to the iris: Too bad about the substance, the deep purple on the falls is fantastic!

The standards were longer then the falls, a bit lopsided for me.

I liked the pink & purple B. art seedling. For us B.Art flower would not last the 3 days, so I hope the other parent corrected that.

tom, love the color on the falls!!! (with that pop of orange from the beards) and love the contrast of the standards, perhaps it will even out at next blooming? or does that ever happen? does the form become better or is it always true at first bloom?

I have noticed some have a lot of improvement in bloom form on the second year that they boom. This last one is blooming for the first time, but the plant was 3 years old. Also the first bloom to open was the largest, the later blooms weren't as large or as unbalanced.

This is from a cross with Quiet Reflections x Ghitano. It was the only one of that cross that bloomed.
