I know! I added all my photos when I first signed on and I try to add the new ones as I go along. I also added all my plants to the data base and in the spring all I have to do is add more pictures as I take them. Green Grin!

Thank you, Susan.

Bermuda grass is ubiquitous in this part of the country. I detest it. I have a lot of clover in my back yard as well as wild violets and a few other things. I still have Bermuda. And I hate to spray. But it isn't as thick where the clover and violets are ... so that's some consolation. Be sure to let us know how that works for you.

I even prefer the Henbit to that.

The Bermuda was so thick last year no water could get through and try getting a shovel through it, right. Anyway I sowed a lot of clover in the thickest part and clover is all I see now. The clover is evergreen and looks good in winter. I just bought another pound of clover to direct sow. I am encouraged by what I have seen and have decided to just buy a pound a month and keep going with it, its only 5.00 a pound at my local feed and seed so I really don't have much to loose. Green Grin! Thumbs up

Susan,
The field of red lilies are Crimson Pixie, the tall red one in middle pics is Blood Queen, the 8th pic is a colony of Pardalinum. Other good reds include 'Good Night', Red Electric, Venture, and Fire Truck.
The purples in last post are all New England Aster.
The avatar is me 'sittin on top of the world' along the 'Million Dollar Highway' midway between Ouray and Silverton in southwest Colorado's San Juan Mountains. The mountain in the background is Red Mountain The day following the day avatar pic taken we went exploring looking for a ghost town, ended up taking a wrong trac which necessitated crossing Red Mountain (elev > 12000'). That experience probably ranks as the most exhilarating one I've ever experienced.

Jmorth and Chelle, love those pics, and the miscanthus one too from Susan! Great pictures. Great gardens!

Personally I think we should all be called Bob. I would answer to Bob. Dave might bring a lot of work with the name.

Thanks PollyK Green Grin!

Thanks jmorth I just planted some 'King George' do you think the flowers will get as big as yours? They are really beautiful. I can't wait to go shopping for some lilies. I found the Crimson Pixie but I can't find the 'Blood Queen'. I found some 'Blood Tiger' is that it? Blinking
Wow, 12000 feet, I bet the air is very fresh and clean?

Susan,

Have you checked Bert's Lily Co-op at Mamajack's? Might not have just those particular ones, but the price for blooming-size bulbs probably can't be beat.

Polly, do you want to be just Bob or Polly Bob?

The only thing that I've found that overpowers the Bermuda is Creeping Charlie. For real.

I have Creeping Charlie too but it doesn't spread like the Bermuda and hasn't taken over here like the Bermuda grass does. The clover does better for me. Or the Henbit.

jmorth, where did you get your Giganteums (hope I got that right and spelled it right)? They are gorgeous.

Waving to all the Bob-wannabes. ~

LOL. Thanks. Neglect, I think. I do cut them back from time to time, root new plants from the cuttings and give those away. I would say they are in the perfect spot to suit them and are happy. Or so they seem.
