Epic. Volcano Trick Fireball began opening yesterday.
Bulb. paluence 'A-doribil' X Bulb echinolabium put on another bloom. It looks like a sequential bloomer.
B. David Sander has put out another bloom and spikes ar coming out everywhere. This is a great plant.
Spathoglottis plicata is putting on a wonderful show this year.
And so is the Bletilia yokohama 'Kate' p.p.a.f.
My newest bamboo orchid, aka Arundina graminisolia, has put on its first flower. It seems to be a little bigger than my other Arundina but the color is about the same.

Each of us have our own sources. I have a couple of very good growers within 15 minutes of me and I make trips to Apopka, Florida, where there are a ton of greenhouses, growers and distributors. I just went on a day trip with my orchid club and found even more sources within an hour's drive. Some buy on line but there are too many places close to me to do much of that. Also, there are orchid vendors at all of the garden shows and sales here.

If there are no orchid vendors in your area, you can buy on line. Start with Andy's Orchids and go from there. Feel free to run an unknown vendor name buy this crowd as there is lots of experience here.
Both Kathy and Ursula live up in the tundra and have tons of orchids. Surely they can help you.

Sorry to hear about the termites but that is one fine Laelia. I was worried myself last week. I went into the pool bathroom that we seldom use and found several dead ants/termites on top of the toilet tank. It was like a mass suicide. I cleaned it up and put a few in a plastic bag. Friday I took the bag with me to the Extension Service and looked at them with a microscope. Three segments (ants), singel node with large round head and big eyes (probably Argentine). I'll tell the bug spray guy but I least I know it was not termites. I also know it was not crazy ants which are much worse. Argentines like to nest outdoors. Why they were all dead on top of the toilet tank is beyond me. There is nothing to eat in that bathroom.

I've got both! I asked the inspector if the fumigation would (at least) discourage the ants. Ummm, no...they usually come up to eat the dead bodies. Arggg! Anyway, I'm having a wonderful time moving plants, double bagging food, etc. Then of course, I'll have to wash everything in the house. What fun! Oh Yeh, then I'll have to cut down the five Raphiolepis that have been growing across the front of my mobile home, because they will get tented too...and they're just starting to bloom. I know y'all in the southern states are familiar with termites. Get your inspections, and spot treatments before you need fumigation! LOL!
Thanks for the compliments on the Laelia! It's out in the elements, and as I said the first spike blasted, and the lip was twisted on the one flower, but this spike has settled down, in spite of our crazy weather. Until I can get my "orchid shack" enclosed, it seems I have to stick with the Mexican orchids. Maybe next year...
Well, I have been watching the buds on my Gastrochilus acutifolius truly for some months now - finally they are are pretty much open after taking their sweet time.
Dendrobium moniliforme ( plain and simple) is looking a bit wild, but blooms on and off every so often. The flowers are nicely scented.
Brassavola Little Stars is starting to bloom, lots more spikes are in the works. It is scenting the living room nicely at sundown.
Barkeria melanocaulon is also opening nice spike. It will not be easy to get a whole-plant picture, the plant is tall with long roots and a tall spike.
