Worth the wait, Ursula. The Gastrochilus is gorgeous. My Little Stars perfumed the entire lanai in the evenings. What a great little orchid. Nice form on the Den. The Barkeria is a new one for me. I'll have to look it up.

Geez, Carol, I feel badly for you. Hang in there.

Jim,do I have a choice?
Ursula, Nice show! Hmmm. that Barkeria is pretty close to being a BLUE orchid! Funny, all the laughs we've had over those dyed Phals, there are a few (and you have some) that are very close to being blue, naturally.I imagine some hybridizer will find a way...

Talking about those Blue Phals - have you seen the new PURPLE !!! Phals? I was at Metropolitan Plant Exchange yesterday, they were really screaming, my poor eyes. People must be buying them, there seems to be good market for them. Oh well, each its own. At least the plants are nice and sturdy with good size blooms, so at least you wind up with a good plant when the dye is gone.

Jim, I agree - the scent is great! Everyone needs a B Little Stars Smiling

Yes, Gloria, they are injected with dye, making them a bit of a freak. The next bloom cycle, they will be back to regular white Phals. I like white Phals but I can get them for $5 all day long in Apopka.

Yes and also the Just Add Ice ones. Buyer beware.
Great show Ursula. That Barkeria is truly outstanding. My Little Stars is quiet despite having full sun.
Good luck Carol! Is there someone who can help you?

Around here the Blc Chia Lin 'New City' AM/AOS opened some nice buds. Not easy to get the dark beautiful color correctly. I love the beautiful, mainly spicy-floral scent of Carnations and Cloves with some Cinnamon thrown in.

And the first of 2 spikes on my Blc Goldenzelle 'Lemon Chiffon' AM/AOS popped over the weekend.

Potinara Fairyland (a present last year from Klaus Smiling ) is throwing out a bunch of spikes and starts blooming. This one is a cute window sill Orchid for those with limited space.

And one of my Vanda David Gardner plants is starting up again. This is the mother plant.

I love it Ursula and I even understood the part about how your floofing really floofs after my floofers have already floofed. Hilarious!
