Let's hope that they are not so shy as to not be able to reproduce with all the attention...Perhaps some occasional privacy for them is appropriate unless you want them dying out. Whistling

I had not thought about that twit. Okay, maybe I can go out every other day to do photos. Maybe I better wear blinders? Blinking
Oh drat, I better take up singing when I go to walk out there, or maybe just talking loud so they know I'm coming. Thumbs up

Singing sounds good, but will it attract (or repel!) the triffids? Safety first.

BTW, I can't recall ever seeing my S. 'Oddity' flowering. Does anybody know if this variety can/does flower? If so, it would be interesting to collect seed to see what results and , if so, consider the possibilities with cross-pollinating with various other semps!

I've had Oddity for at least twenty years and have never seen it flower. And I have quite a bit of it.

I have only had my Oddity for two years, but it has not bloomed either. I do have some normal offsets from it this year. Wonder if those will bloom?

I've never seen normal offsets from my 'Oddity', so this seems to me to be somewhat...er....odd! Hilarious!

I get one or two normal offsets from my Oddity per year. Since I have at least 100 Oddity rosettes, it's still a small percentage.
The "normal" offsets are indistinguishable from the common house leek (tectorum?) so I just toss them in amongst the common ones I have all along a fence. Once they sport to the common house leek, they continue producing the normal common type of house leek. Maybe I should start keeping them separate and see if they ever bloom?

This S. 'Oddity' ended up putting out 2 normal offsets in 2011.
