Tabby, I would definitely do that. Also, if you end up with some extra normal oddity, I might want to trade for them in the spring. Seems an interesting project to me.

I've been growing some semps under strong lights this winter and one of them decided to bloom. I think this is Korspel Sport:






I won't be taking any outdoor semp pictures since this is what it looks like:

Must be some pretty good lights to cause it to flower. But what a welcome sight after all that snow!

Wow, what a treat to see your semp blooms Tabby. I love the way the light in your first photo makes the cilia along the petals look all sparkly.
What do your rosettes look like, growing under lights?

Green Gables

Pretty!!! Mine are just starting now too.

Wow, mine are only just starting to show the bloom stalk.

My oh my, what beautiful bouquets nature provides. Those are so pretty Janice.
and I really love the white bloom on Green Gables. I haven't had mine long enough for them to bloom, didn't know they are white. Be sure to add the bloom color to the database.

I am ambivalent, though about the blooms, as we all know what that means.

I love them, as long as the entire plant doesn't decide to bloom.

I have been pinching away at my arachnoideums in hope of preventing them all from going to bloom like last year.

I almost lost all of my arach. Hookeri last year. The few little offsets that made it through have now formed a nice little colony this year. I noticed today that some of the semps are coning.

I hope everyone will put their photos of Semp Blooms in the Sempervivum database

It is amazing the differences you will see from one cultivar/species to the next.
