Tabby, I would definitely do that. Also, if you end up with some extra normal oddity, I might want to trade for them in the spring. Seems an interesting project to me.

I've been growing some semps under strong lights this winter and one of them decided to bloom. I think this is Korspel Sport:

Must be some pretty good lights to cause it to flower. But what a welcome sight after all that snow!

Wow, what a treat to see your semp blooms Tabby. I love the way the light in your first photo makes the cilia along the petals look all sparkly. Lovey dubby
What do your rosettes look like, growing under lights?

Here is what my Korspel Sport bloom looks like, with full sun, outdoors.

I haven't taken pictures of the semp rosettes under lights since this post:
earlier post

I'll see if they've changed enough to take another picture.

My oh my, what beautiful bouquets nature provides. Those are so pretty Janice.
and I really love the white bloom on Green Gables. I haven't had mine long enough for them to bloom, didn't know they are white. Be sure to add the bloom color to the database. Hurray!

I am ambivalent, though about the blooms, as we all know what that means. Crying

I love them, as long as the entire plant doesn't decide to bloom.

I almost lost all of my arach. Hookeri last year. The few little offsets that made it through have now formed a nice little colony this year. I noticed today that some of the semps are coning.

I wish they were about 3" in diameter though so they could be appreciated more! Hilarious!
