The drainage is perfect. Easy to see it in these photos.
I must say that's the prettiest barn I ever saw in my life! I agree with the others --- with a barn like that who needs a house?
Elsie is sooooo purty. Love the photo.

In a word, "Wow!"
Thanks, Vic, for sending me a link to this Great Adventure! Today is the first I've seen it, have now read it from the beginning to now. What a fantastic barn, Dave and Trish! I love it!
People and critters alike are gonna love hanging out in there! Shazaam!

Dave, is there any insulation under the metal on the roof? I'm thinking that dark color will make it pretty hot in there. Are you counting on the natural air flow for cooling?
The reason I wish I had insulation under the roof in my barn would be to prevent condensation. Under certain weather conditions it can be so heavy that it "rains" in the barn.
I can see that Porkpal. We actually had a shed once which we did have insulation under the roof (shingles). It was more like a "get away" room the way we used it though & we had a window unit a/c in it. Insulation but no drywall. Under certain conditions you could see the paper facing on the insulation under the roof get wet.

There hasn't been much of an update. We did finish up all the metal and we installed the roll up doors. I finished all the electrical wiring - all that's left on that is to run a conduit to the house and tie it in.
At this point we're waiting for the metal guy to finish up the door frames, then we'll take them to the powder coater and then install them.
I'm pretty anxious to get it going. I'm really looking forward to starting to milk in the barn.
