Thanks Rita, they got some good stuff. Those poppies are very colorful. Should brighten things up quite a bit. Green Grin!

No budget this year for new plants, but Mamajack has some Gaillardia "Moxie" and is giving me one. I helped her some last year, which I was glad to do. I certainly don't think she owes me anything, but sometimes it is a greater gift to receive than to give (she says with downcast eyes and in a pious voice).

This year, I will mostly see what comes back from the new stuff planted last year and dig new beds for the daylilies (of which I have two dozen in pots from 2011 still waiting to go in the ground). Sticking tongue out And start saving for next year and Santa Rosa Gardens. I LOVE that company.

Marilyn, You sure are getting a treasure trove of new plants. Your garden is going to become a master piece. Thumbs up

I had never heard of Santa Rosa Gardens but just had to seach for it and bring it up. Oh my what a lovely selection! I am looking at their awesome selection of sedum and they have a lot and many I have never seen for sale before. Drooling

And I haven't done my order from High Country Gardens yet. Each year I order INDIGO SPIRES Salvia because each year it dies here over the winter but I love it so that I just have to have it. And I have lots and lots of Agastaches from them also. I love the Hummingbird Mint types as I have them to attract the hummers and just because I love them. But I have to wait a little while to make sure none of the Agastaches died over the winter. Sometimes a plant or two does die for me and I buy new Agastache to replace them.

As too those Fruit Punch Poppies from Graceful Gardens, I had never seen the Fruit Punch anywhere else. But I flipped over the colors in the pictures. It seems to me these were the perfect height, not too tall as some or too short. I do love poppies, didn't really have much but had always liked them. Had to try Fruit Punch, just had too.

Santa Rosa is one of my current favorites. Their plants and packing are really wonderful.

Two others that I favor are Digging Dog and Lazys's.

All of these have sent me substantial plants that have flourished. No puny starts.

Rita, keep an eye out for Santa Rosa's sales. They have good ones and you also get points for each plant you buy. Every 100 points can be used for a dollar off the next order.

Santa Rosa is real nice company with a good selection, I accedentally ordered from them twice and when I realized it I emailed them and asked for combined shipping and they were right on it. They gave me a 8 or 9 dollar credit for the second shipping charge.

Another good company is Plant Delights, http://www.plantdelights.com/ , They carry a lot of native plants as far as the southeast goes. Great packing too. Green Grin!

A sample specimen from my first plant order with Prairie Moon Nursery. So far, I'm very pleased with the plants they send. The entire order looked healthy and arrived at the best stage of growth for permanent planting.

...and it's nicely branched.

My order consisted of bare root plants, all of which were nicely packed and labeled. No broken plant parts, and the packing medium had the perfect amount of moisture content.

Cost of plants relative to product received - excellent!

Thumbs up from me.
