I love, love the split corona daffs!

Rita is yours actually that lovely peachy color, or does it appear as orange?

I have those ... they are among my faves. But it's difficult to pick favorites when it comes to daffs. Green Grin!

More great photos, Rita.

I forgot to add that the split coronas are CUM LAUDE. I got them at Brent and Beckies but they are not carrying them this year.

Tee, thank you. I just love to take pictures of the flowers in my garden. As I have said before, my gardens used to be full of color and bloom once the shrubs leafed out and flowered. But while I always had some bulbs, there weren't any (or hardly any) in all those daylily beds I now have around the garden. So my daylily beds would be stunning in the summer with daylily and lily blooms but such a sad sorry state of drab brown mulch early spring. The daffs really do make a tremendous difference in my garden. Plus the tulips come right after now. So lots of early spring color.

I have really easpecially noticed it this year after adding lots of daffs two falls ago and again this past fall. I just LOVE, LOVE , LOVE the effect of all this bloom. Smiling Big Grin Green Grin! Lovey dubby

In fact I am so thrilled with it that I intend to put in my biggest daffodil order yet to plant this fall. So next spring will be even more cheerful. Thumbs up

Thanks, Rita. I really like the peach. By any chance, could it be 'Trigonometry'?

No, it is CUM LAUDE. I bought it from Brent and Beckies. The only split corona daff that I have so I am sure of the ID.

I can't find one that matches by that name....even B&B shows a dark purple single for 'Cum Laude'. Confused

They're trying to confuse me. Hilarious!

Appreciate the link, thanks!

Well, I like daffs and tulips both.

I was amusing myself looking at the daffs at B& B. They really have some truely lovely ones. Ones I want to buy are GIGANTIC STAR, PIPIT, BABY BOOMER (mini), CAPREE ELIZABETH. There are others I really like also. Some are also avaiable at Sheepers so I would buy there instead as they are cheeper. But those four I mentioned I would have to get from Brent and Beckies.

lots of daffys are still "stuck" somewhere between downloading & uploading, but I'm snapping away!

Here are a few... I'll upload them into the database with comments... soon...

I think this was one in the "mix" of butterfly (split corona) daffs
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/08f3b2

Here's another... I did all butterfly daffs in one area... Smiling I think this might be 'Love call' but won't be sure until everybody has bloomed.
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/f97520

The early daffs in this island bed are 'Ice Folly' with an unknown "yellow jonquil" from Beck's behind them (mostly bloomed out, but it's always a nice combo)
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/c802ef

There are some scattered mini's I need to ID, also!
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/da329e

I know this one is 'Minnow'.

'St. Keverne' has turned out to be a great naturalizer!

'Curly' multiplies well for me also
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/07f192

'Barrett Browning', another favorite
Thumb of 2012-03-24/critterologist/123faa

'Einstein' has such bold color! The central cup lies very flat.

OK, gotta go... the weekend is calling! Smiling
