Jill, thanks for posting some of your daffs blooming. I figgure you have got to have a yard full of blooming spring bulbs by now. You have that old (from 2010) thread at Daves Garden about your kilobulb plantings. If your still on Daves. go check it out, I pulled it up and there is new discussion on there.

Great pictures J, Jill and Rita. The daffs are finishing up down south due to our early spring heat. Only a few more left to bloom and the tulips are finishing up as well.

Here are the daffodils blooming around my pond. The first photo was taken on Sunday, March 25. The second was taken March 18, before the rain knocked down some of the daffodils

Last fall I added daffodils around three topiary hydrangeas. It was a 'last minute' purchase of bulbs at Planters' Seed Co in the River Market - marked down 75%, so I couldn't resist. I bought 100 bulbs for $15!

That's a beautiful pond area and you've landscaped it well.

Lovely daffs Gary. They look fabulous around your pond and I love them around your three topiary plantings. It all looks great!

The big in ground pond in the front yard is a 350 gallon stocktank. I planted those daffs coming up there in front of it but they are not open yet.



Really small flowered daffs bloom in front of the pond. These more in the sun are starting to bloom already.

Wow is all I can say to all The beautiful daffy faces that everyone posted! I just fell in love with daffodils after moving to the midwest a couple years back and planted a small variety last fall. my wonderful little poms also thought the flower markers were new toys I bought them. I guess will just sit back and enjoy the show without knowing theirs names!

Here are some daffs comming up way later than the others in back of them.

Those are quite the leaves on the top ones, Rita. Unusual.

Front yard view from yesterday. Today everything is soaked from the rain overnight. I wanted to show this section so that people can see how I use the spring bulbs as part of the overall plan to have someting blooming in sucession from early spring till fall.

You can see the daffs along there and for the summer as the daffs die back I put in zinnias for summer color. Below the daff section there are two rows of daylilies growing with tulips that are just going to open. Plus one end has a stand of oriental lilies with roses in back and the other end has some asiatic lilies with tall beared iris in back. There are also some daylily plants at each end of the daff section.
