I finally got out in my yard for a bit after getting all of my plants labeled/priced for our MG plant sale. I got my drip hoses out, my brussels sprouts planted, and my earthboxes ready for planting. I also took my wagon up to the plant sale today, as there wil be no room for it tomorrow. I have 21 flats of herbs, and 40 gallon-sized perennials to transport tomorrow. A friend is coming to heLp me wth transport, but I stilll need at least one more car-load.

I will be VERY happy when all of these plants are off of my patio and front porch.

Wish I had a few more days of weather like today, but will be committed to the plant sale for the next 2 days.

No,Karen--not ambitious....just driven (and not in a good way). Too much to do, too little time.

I thought'd scaled back on growing plants for our MG plant sale. However, I discovered i grew 30% more than last year. Sigh.... the problem with being chairman of the herb specialties is that almost everything is an annual. And not many people grow herbs. ( or at least grow them successfully). However, our customers are very excited about being able to buy culinary herbs. That's why I grow so many (in addition to what we need for our demonstrtion herb beds).

Needless to say, my life will get considerably easier once these plants are gone tomorrow.

I know how you feel Linda, I'm feeling the same way about my coleus. I've lost track of how many there are, but it's over 100 now. Too much babysitting while they're in pots, I just want to get them into the ground where they pretty much take care of themselves. I might plant the ones in the front yard today. The coldest nighttime low temp in the 10 day forecast is 54°, so I think it's safe.

It's supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow with around 80°! I still have a whole lot to mulch, but I could use a break from that today, so today I'll plant and/or weed. I hope to get my husband to help with some mulching tomorrow. (after tomorrow, forecast is 6 more days of rain) Angry

Rain here for the last two days. It won't be sunny until Monday. Everything is still slow.

No rain here today...It got downright hot this afternoon. I am celebrating getting the first flowers on some of the 'maters, so I guess I'll take the heat. It's here, like it or not. Time to break out some cages and stakes.
I'm sending warmer, dryer vibes out to y'all.

It got hot here, too. It didn't rain until around 9 p.m., and that was only a brief shower. I continued to plant (mostly coleus) in my front bed, even moved some because I didn't like where I'd put them. It looks good, though most plants still have their winter colors.

My husband planted out the tomatoes today. Wintersown, they're only 4-6" tall now. He also spread a few bags of mulch for me. It's sunny now, so hopefully I'll be able to get out there for a while today.

I'm headed out to get my tomatoes in the earthboxes, and plant the perennials that followed me home from our plant sale yesterday. Wouldn't you know the weather is nice now that I have to head back to work on Monday?

Yes, I'm back to work this week, too, but not 'till Wednesday. Good chance of rain here every day this week though

We got a nice surprise here today, it was supposed to rain (which it did a little) but its ended up being clear and sunny Blinking Been getting alot planted the last few days...still got lots to put out though. With the warmer weather we've been getting I now have more mater sprouts then I can use,
1 Kotlas (which is growing FAST)
1 red cherry
3 OSU Blue, one of the seedlings is showing purple colour where the other two are just green so I'll keep the purple one.

We're forcasted severe thunderstorms tonight with possible hail and 100kph winds, its looking like it may pass us by but right now its quite still.

Been planting out WS sprouts like mad, some I have simply composted since they had no roots from all the rain or just been sitting there doing nothing.

We had a heck of a storm- incredible wind, rain, thunder, lightening, tornado sirens blasting. That was about 3 hours ago, now it's just rain. And much the same early this morning, minus the tornado sirens.

I hope my tomatoes are still there.

Weather is starting to straighten out here. Nice day yesterday. More rain is forecast but not the wild weather south of us a couple of states.

I just got back home to IL today... my WS'ed maters are as bit as the store bought one... and the size difference when i planted them in May was HUGE ... the WS ones were tiny, and about 2" tall.
