Sometimes you do not even know till it's too late. I bought some coneflowers from coneflowers.com and the warranty is only for ten days. These large plugs took two months to bloom and I found out they were the wrong cultivars. I tried to get in touch with them and they do not answer email or phone.

I spent $209.31 for 3 orders.

I only received 2 plants (order #3). They were both Agastaches. One of them, had all the stems broken off the main stem when I got it and the other had one of the stems broken off. They both had a lot of soil loose in the bottom of the box (not in the pots). They gave me a refund for both of those.

Order #2 I didn't get. I ordered 3 Agastaches and Salvia 'Ultra Violet' and they weren't able to send them. They refunded those also.

Order #1 I ordered in early to mid February and was the majority of the money I spent. ($131.89). Was originally suppose to ship the third or fourth week of April. They kept postponing the shipment date, so I told them last week to refund the amount. I told them I couldn't wait any longer, since it's getting hotter and more humid here.

I'm still waiting for the full $209.31 amount to be credited to my bank account.

Everything but $83.94, $8.99 and as of today, $29.97 still has to be credited to it.

Hopefully, next year when the have the 'bugs' of the new HCG, it will be better.

The $83.94 and the $8.99 amounts showed up on my bank account, finally! Probably will be a few days for the $ 29.97 to show up. Now to get crackin and buy more plants with the money that's getting refunded!

Do y'all know if Santa Rosa has a sale in June and/or when the next sale usually is after Memorial Day?

I just finished reading this year's garden watchdog reviews about High Country Gardens. What a change! I've ordered from them several times in the past and was very happy but now I'm glad that I didn't order this year. I hope everything gets straightened out.

I ordered 5 times last year! (SRG) The prices are always good and the shipping is cheap! I got an email last year in August for 25% off for the fall sale.

I missed out on those big sales at HCG last year because of lack of money.

Well no wonder! AM was terrible. I will never order again, they made me so mad.

HCG was very nice to send me a new plant, even thought the only thing bigger was the pot and the box. Now both plants are 12x12 and will bloom very soon!

The good about the order is very nice sized plants that all are doing well ( I received this order a couple of weeks ago and was waiting for response from them ) A nice free Sedum was sent with order. Shipping not bad I think it was about 10 dollars plus 50 cents per plant. All plants were quart sized plants. The bad was that they substituted Hot Coral for Salsa Red without any notice. Being I already have Hot Coral I would have chosen something else and in these days of e-mails it should have been no hardship for them to inquire what I would want them to do. I have e-mailed them 3 times for a response to why they did this and have never heard back from them.

Plants look great! I was just thinking about ordering from them again until you mentioned that they substituted one of the plants you ordered.

WOW!!! They have taken a turn for the better. They were the worst company I had done business with 3 years ago. I thought Michigan Bulb was better than them!

One thing I can say is that they were good about replacing plants, I just got tired of asking them to replace them. I wanted to do business with someone who could get it right the first time.


I might give them another try!

I guess New Garden Plants doesn't want to sell plants. I'm on their website and can't click the buy button. Doesn't work.

I guess the plants that are low in quantity won't let you press the buy button. I was able to click the button on another plant.

Think I'll wait til next Spring to order from New Garden Plants to get a better selection.

Marilyn Santa Rosa most years has a good sale late season, but inventory is limited. The best sale they have is buying early on Black Friday for the next season. If I ever order from NGP again I will have to add a note about absolutely no substitutions .
