Uh, nope. Not today. Rolling on the floor laughing Ibuprophen will be my best friend tonight! Hilarious! I forgot how much work those lilies are. The orange ones that I'm always trying to get rid of sit just below the surface - they're so easy compared to these. I wonder why the difference? Or, maybe I wouldn't have to plant these that deep either??

I dug up a large shrub to make my new butterfly garden. I planted a red butterfly bush, trimed miscantheus, raked leaves, pulled up vines, potted seedlings, went grocery shopping. Whistling

I was going to fill in the hole with dirt and I saw something weird. It was Black and Fuzzy. Blinking I tried to help him out of the hole and he decided to play dead. So I decided to wait till tomorrow to fill in the hole. Better turn the motion light back on, just my luck my DH will fall in the hole. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Can I play????

Yesterday I carried cobblestones and made a border of them.
I relocated the hyacinths that had just stopped blooming.
Moved a veronica from pot to ground.
Moved some ajuga and a sedum from ground to pot to take to a friend.
Pulled the drumstick allium out of my sempervivum pot (Kitty is buried in there).
Harvested a stray egyption onion to put in the soup.

Today I walked around and wondered at all the good stuff going on out there.
I see MUCH improvement and I can see my plans really beginning to come together.

Hurray!
Then I puttered at the flat border rocks, plotting another heavy day for tomorrow.

I took pictures once a week last year, to document what happens when.
Then we had no winter and everything got ahead by FIVE weeks... Now I
don't know what to expect or when!

Me, either. I'm as confused as the plants. I think perhaps the roses will begin blooming about the same time as the apples this year...strange. One of my forsythia is still blooming as well - really weird since I can't recall them ever blooming for longer than a week or so in the past.
