Fun
About the Tuberolabium - yes, I think I see this too. I never cut them. Truly finished spikes shrivel away kinda on their own.
Did I mention they smell heavenly?
Don Carlo was great. Fabulous music and nonstop flawless singing. I especially was moved by Marina Poplavskaya's arias. An interview I just found: http://www.musicalcriticism.co...
Today. A surprise! Lc. (Angel Love x C. skinneri).
Second spike on Catt. Minerva opening.
Slc. Final Touch 'Mendenhall'
Blc. Shining Harmony 'Volcano Queen' broke off the spike (trip home in cold from Roger's??) and it's opening in a vase. The first flower is distorted but the second looks better.
Slc. Fire Magic 'Nora' is so pretty!!
My Laelia autumnalis var atrorubens is proceeding nicely, more buds are open today. It is not easy to show the whole plant, the background is too busy, but it will have to do.
Kathy and Ursula, just fabulous displays!!!
Love the shades on Lc. (Angel Love x C. skinneri), Kathy!
Ursula, your Little Stars is such a gorgeous specimen and the colors of the flowers on Laelia autumnalis var atrorubens are a dream!

The other is as though everything is a miracle

omg talk about some roots.. I just repotted my laelia alba as it just finished flowering (didn't flower long, think im use to paphs lasting for months though). Don't you love how vigorous the roots grow on laelias but they take up to much room with there long big leaves i think.
Good luck with Winter guys, seems weird when im in Summer and dreading its going to be a hot one.
