I'm thinking of doing the same the next time I see spiranthes for sale in garden centers. I have lost 2 clumps outside. I bring my bletillas inside in the cool room (my zone is too cold). I've lost some, but the hardy ones are still thriving.

I would think they might behave like the hardy perennials do down here.
We have things like salvias that bloom nearly year 'round here, and people say "well, yes they're perennial but mine only last 3 years". Of course it's because in a 'normal' garden where they bloom for 3 or 4 months at most then die back and get a full winter's dormancy they probably last 10 years, but down here they get 3 years' growing time each year.
Ursula's pampered guest is already making babies, or ? offsets? So it seems to be a really adaptable hardy orchid. Loving life in the tropics!

Hard to see in this picture, but I've got at least 6 spikes on my "maybe Yellow Bird" and two more on the for-sure B. Yellow Bird behind it.
Little NOID Den that I rescued from Lowe's death rack last spring has buds already showing color. The spike behind to the left is Onc. Copper Scarab 'Brass Brethren' . This will be its first bloom for me.

Sadly, most of those spikes on 'maybe yellow bird' above have aborted, but I do have 3 popping in time for my kids' visit.
Also when bringing in the bloomers for a couple of cold nights, I discovered Lc. Renate with 3 more spikes, one in bud. Third bloom cycle for that one this year! My Gerberara 'Snow Ballet' has aborted a spike, but still has two more coming, and the other divisions of 'maybe yellow bird' on the big cork raft have buds ready to pop. Last one is 'anticipation' that makes my mouth water - gourmet Japanese tomatoes 'Momotaro' blooming. We shall see if I can keep the plants warm enough to set fruit!
Ah, December in an unusually warm Florida!

Exactly! Btw nowadays you can select a whole bunch of pictures at the same time, they will all upload in one swoop. Preview is your friend!
Good looking plants, Bert!
Hello, 70 degrees and rainy, I got everything on the porch in under an hour and looked up but who do I see? You gotta smile, because now I have another couple hours of work, scratch that! I really meant Play!
You can see across N Parkway and the back of the Chinese Panda exhibit , I didn't realize I had posted the pagoda. That is the Memphis Zoo across the street.
Seems like two months so far waiting on my paph to open, I had the rest all bud blast in the last month. This is Star Stone.
That's really a nice collection you have there, Bert.
My "collection" is quite small, but gradually growing. Right now I only have 1 of my 4 Phals that is beginning to bud again for the 3rd time.
I got the pictures side by side!!!
