I agree, it reminds me of one I tried to order from Napa Iris Gardens. That year they refunded everyone's money due to health problems. I sure hope the health issues resolved itself and everything is going good for them.

Thanks Wheezy for the wish!
Just wish I can find the time now to plant them and dig more sod up.
Everyday day until Tues.is tied up with drs.appts.for mother or visits/ lunch out with 3 of my grown kids.
I am unpacking and soaking the roots for a day ,and hope this keeps them from drying out .
In the past ,I have always gotten them in the ground within a few days.
48 iris is a big investment, and a lot to keep waiting to plant.I hope they will be ok.

don't worry!
Last year, I told myself I had a handle on my breathing ish, and wouldn't have a problem (a ha ha, so dumb), and delayed planting of Schreiners and MidAmerica irises from August to OCTOBER. They bloomed! Even the one that got run over soon after!

They are tough ladies, they can hang in there!

My Schreiner's order has shipped. I'm not sure, if I'd requested shipping this early, or if was due to all that high heat, out West.
(At least by Sunday, will have some relief from rather recent, higher than usual temperatures, above average for here.)

I'm not so certain, I like all these "Climate Change" differences. As, even this Spring was two months straight, "drought", after just having record precipitation levels (within top ten, in Jan. & Feb.)
Two consecutive months each, of entirely complete opposites just to start out with, for nearly 1/3 of this year.

Besides experiencing such temperature differences in daytime this Spring, which could vary greatly by so easily as much, by wildly fluctuating well over 20 degrees F.

Within only a single day apart. Usually, the Chesapeake Bay normally moderates these great differences. (Somewhat similarly to San Francisco Bay, yet the warmer Gulf of
Mexico water steam current flows up, Northward along the Atlantic.)

I'll need some adequate rainfall, just to get these into the ground, if "brick hard." Or else I'm going to simply just pot them up, using bagged soil. (On top of it all, water rates have increased, well over, & above a typical "summer rate" increase !)

Though hopefully, adequate precipitation isn't in form of a Hurricane, as Season for that, already seems to have began rather early.
Of course I realize, I'm not the only one to experience these very strange changes.
It just doesn't seem usual, or even nearly typical, at all.

I noticed my rhizomes from Schreiner's ,in unpacking them this morning ,were not nearly as big as they usually are in many years past .I guess maybe the heat and lack of rain has affected their size.
Don't know if Oregon weather has been like the other parts of the West?
