Love it! I was stressing the third but that's not correct. I was saying "violacea" stressing the saya but then I heard some seller call it vioLAYseea.

Evidently nothing is as it seems. Laurel corrected me when I said Stan-HOPE-i-a. She says it is Stan-HOPE -a. I just say I'm from Indiana. Confused

Funny!!
I am so glad you never hear me talking, well mostly. Brassavola rolls so much easier off the tongue than Rhynchovola, no?

Here is the Phaius microburst 'Wild Thing' that arrived from Logee's. Once again, I am pleased with the plant and if the blooms are like the pictures, we'll be in for a great show.

I had a good day on ebay, bought two plants that were on my 'gotta have list'!
Dendrochilum wenzeli and Cymbidium Chen's Ruby 'Gold Tiger'
The Dendrochilum will want to be in a basket when I repot it?

Nice choices!
I grow my Dendrochilums in clay pots.

correction - the magnum is in a basket.....an exception.

Logee's plants are usually not huge, but they are really healthy and they take off as soon as potted up.

The dendrochilum is in a small plastic basket..can I just set it in this larger wooden one? Should I put some bark in the gap between
the two baskets? I really like the form on this one, pretty even without flowers.

Nice stuff Lindsey and Kathy.
Lindsey, regarding the basket - I would probably look for balance here, plant size versus basket size. The plant looks happy in its small pot and I agree, it can (eventually?) be "potted on". ( without removing the old pot) But I would raise it up in its new shoe, which doesn't yet need to be that big.

I am very fussy now since each plant requires hours of care so I have to love it for years. I just bought my last cym. It's green and brown! Couldn't resist.

I had a good day on ebay yesterday..I got the Blc. Copper Queen! Some lunatic bid it way way up so I just took advantage
of the buy it now option. Also got Lc. Tokyo Magic x B. Digbyana, Blc. Zul 'Waiomao Fantasy', and Lc. Melody Fair 'Carol' HCC/AOS.
Fortunately, I got overbid on about 6 other plants so my investment was less than a car payment! Hurray!
