Ok, I think I am getting the hang of this and I will be submitting soon. Hope I got the sizes right. Whistling

The banner size is better if it is 150 x 1500 pixels. Smiling

That is the size I did mine in, the ones used for Sempervivum Week. I noticed most of them had the right side cut and didn't show the entire frame.

Ok, good. I am pretty sure that was the size of the finished one. Thumbs up

I'm just curious - haven't had the time to read all of this thread, but I created several banners. I submitted some that were more of a spring theme a couple of weeks ago. They were the correct size, but they were "awaiting approval" and then yesterday I noticed that they have just disappeared. What happened? Did someone remove them? ?? I guess my thought at this time is, why did I bother?

I have lots in the lineup that have been approved, only one waiting to be approved, one to be shown April 1st, but I have never seen them disappear. Shrug!

Julie, that seems odd for them to disappear. We don't want to lose you as a source of banners - I can only imagine what great banners you would make. Thumbs up

If they were awaiting approval, then they were sized correctly etc.

Please contact Dave by Tree-mail and ask him if he does not see your question here.

I don't approve every banner that gets submitted - we have over 900 approved banners already so at this point I'm pretty choosy about which ones I accept. It has to be that way since we already have enough for the next 2 and a half years.

Wow - I had no idea you have that many banners ahead! Seems like it was 300 just a couple months ago!

I look at my photos with a critical eye, you have to think of it with the banner in mind, the left side is covered with the ATP logo and the center and right side is what should be the main focus.

Keep in mind also that the logo only covers the first little bit of the banner. So the interesting part of the banner should start pretty quick.

I think there are 900 approved but not all are scheduled so if anyone does something extra nice if may appear fairly soon. Is that correct Dave?

Yes, that's definitely correct! When a particularly spectacular one gets submitted, you can be sure it will get in sooner.

I assign them not according to how recently they were submitted, at all. About once a month I assign the coming months worth of banners out of the entire pool. So a banner submitted might not appear for a year, or it might appear within a month.

Thanks for the explanation Dave. It is a little thrill to see one of mine posted. I'll bet others are excited to see theirs. Like a small pat on the back Thumbs up

There are a few people who consistently submit fabulous banners and you're definitely one of them, Paul. Smiling
