Well I spent my two days off pulling weeds and I did get these 12 planted around the bird bath, my little weekend project.

Susan, I can foresee those rocks moving outward to allow for another row or two of daylilies in the future! It will be very pretty. I hope you will share pictures when that area is at its peak.

Thanks Doris, I actually have two rows now but it is not showing up in the picture very well. However with a few more river rocks I could get carried away and add another row. That would look awesome!! Especially when it blooms! great Kodak moments are coming!

There would be less grass to mow as the bed is enlarged!

Sounds good to me, I would like the whole yard to be daylilies.

The bird bath area is going to look so good with the daylily foliage color
above the stones, and then of course, the blooms as well. Nice work!!!

This is the first year (out of my three or four years of buying daylilies ) that I've noticed Floyd Cove posting some of their new introductions on their Sold Out Listing as having waiting lists now. Seems like there are at least five or six listed now, so I contacted them today and ordered GAME FACE to be sent along with my TET. TIME STOPPER when it gets a little bigger next month. I was going to wait until the fall, but when I saw how they are selling out I decided I should go ahead and get the one daylily I still really wanted to get from their Spring 2013 intros now. (It's a BORN TO BE WILD seedling, you know!) Floyd Cove appears to be having a great year, and no wonder when I look at their new introductions! And Guy told me a couple of months ago that he always makes sure he has about 100 plants ready to go when they introduce them, so there really must be a high demand for those beauties this spring!

Good thing you said that Betty! I have been assuming that I can get the others next year. Never occurred to me that they might sell out. Duh! He is having a very good year, I am happy for them. I love Game Face, that is such a beauty.

Susan, I think by next year you'll be able to get whatever intros you want, as long as you order them early. Unlike some other hybridizers, I think they continue to grow and sell their intros for years after introduction. I did discover last fall that I couldn't get one of the spring intros in the fall of the same year, though. I had written to order one of the new fall intros and said I also wanted one of their spring intros, WHEN ROYALS DREAM. Karen responded by saying that they hadn't gotten around to pruning/repotting that one yet so they could send it to me. But I also wanted CHERRY ICE CREAM SMILE, and she said they'd already pruned and divided it for this spring so I couldn't get it then. I did manage to get two huge fans last month, though, so I'm a happy camper!

I am very happy I got one and even happier about the ROLLERCOASTER RUSH. Whoohoo!

Let's face it -- they have such truly fantastic daylilies and we can't help but love 'em! And isn't Dot's picture of WHEN ROYALS DREAM just absolutely gorgeous? It was after I saw that picture that I decided I just HAD to have it!

Susan, did you get PRICILLA'S SMILE? They had just run out of them when I contacted them, so I purchased one from Bell's Daylilies -- and it has two scapes coming along! Soooooo excited!

Betty, I did get PRISCILLA'S SMILE!... I believe I got the last one, a real bargain at $35.00. I noticed a scape and a bud on one of the Floyd Coves, I could tell that they had cut some scapes off when they dug them up. I will check them out this evening but I must say these daylilies are growing like a weed.

You have a great memory, I had left it off my list. Oops!! She is alive and well.

When I got my gift plant of MARINA DEL REY from them it also had a scape that had been cut off, which I had told Karen would be fine, but it immediately sent up another scape after I planted it -- and just this morning I noticed that one of the buds might open really soon. And I sure hope it's a good bloom so I can get a good picture to post here. Can't wait to see it!

Floyd Cove says every flower is perfect, so that means FFO too! we better get some back-up batteries, the show is about to begin!

Have already got another memory stick and batteries just in case there are lots of blooms
to photograph. Still have to clean out all of last year's pics from the computer.
Don't like referring back to them on disk or external hard drive though.

I gotta go look up Marina del Rey. It was Dot's photo of Raspberry Mountain that caught my
fancy so I just had to order that one. Also needed that color.

I do have an External Hard-drive, I just wish I'd had enough sense to file them by year because when I open a folder there could be 300 in there and I have to do a lot of scrolling to find the picture I am looking for!

I am getting a single fan of RM from abundantdaylilies, I really wanted a second fan but it is ok, they grow fast here and I will probably see a flower soon. I wish I had know about FLOYD COVE at the time.

I already have a wish list for next year or in the fall, I do not know because the daylily I want is sold out. It is 'Big Red Wagon'.

Last year was the first time for Raspberry Mountain to bloom for me. I had gotten it the year before when they had a sale. They sent me a nice clump, so I had lots of blooms. It was a gorgeous color.
