Indeed, we can grow alot of stone fruit here. Cherries and apricots are significant around Hobart area. My yard boasts apricot, plum, nectarine and peach trees, but most years a mould gets more nectarines than we do. Same with the grapes
Still - apples and plums abound, and the apricots are just ripe now - had some for breakfast!
I wonder if lily bulbs might make an intersting inclusion to a crumble topping for stewed apricot, in place of flaked almonds perhaps? Hmmm....
