Just came back from my seedlings garden and want to show you the star of today:

It's a sibling of this one (4.5" diameter):
Thumb of 2022-08-01/Nightlily/a4f647

This one made me happy because its eyed, bright colored and a very late dip - the sibling that opened today the first flower is similar but much better:

6.5" diameter - and it screams through the garden: Hurray!
Thumb of 2022-08-01/Nightlily/956f00

I tried to get both flowers on a pic to show the difference:
Thumb of 2022-08-01/Nightlily/d2ecbc

But unfortunately this pot filled with three siblings has no tag anymore - the crows did a little bit home and garden decoration and collected some of the tags to put them on the ground beside the pots. Grumbling

I must say people are getting much better results from their seedlings than I am, hopefully after reworking my seedling beds I will began to show better results also.

I agree Sue, the second has such pretty form and the eye appears darker and more defined Thumbs up I once chased a crow through the pasture that had stolen a sdlg tag while I was close by. He eventually dropped it. Smiling

The other sdlg really makes the pink stand out Orion.

Larry, you had some very nice ones this year! I have off years, or years where I select less than I thought I might looking at the crosses planted. Maybe I'm just getting more picky, I don't know. This year has been a good one so far. The de-selecting by year has started with piles here and there of keepers that just aren't going to move my goals forward. The big dig to clear the sdlg bed will come in Sept. after it cools off!

I have a lot of really large blooms, but this one is just massive. Imagining a clump of these would make quite a statement!

Will have to keep an eye on the next blooms. Perhaps this one is just 'standard' blotchiness.

I agree the pink really pops on that seedling contrasting with the yellow one, Orion. I can see the spots on the last one you posted, I hope they are spots and not just rain spots!

Wow, Sue, that is impressive!

Not a lot new here to post. Unfortunately, my season seems to be winding down early this year. I hope I get some rebloom Crossing Fingers!

A couple that are, for me, unusual. First, strange color. This is a large bloom that is sort of variegated, ranging from burnt orange through purple. Sort of Grand Canyon at sunset colors. I don't know whether I like it or not!

Second, the pretty little shell pink one with lemon edge - Emerald Bay x Lightning Round. It's just so cute.

Nothing as dramatic as seedlings above, but I do have a couple that I enjoy... sometimes, 'simple' just works.

The last one just has more shades and depth. If I had actually put that and the yellow closer to each other, they would make a nice contrast.

I agree with everyone, the big purple is gorgeous, Sue! I tip my hat to you.

Possibly a few spots on the sdlg Orion. Worth watching and posting again.

Valerie, I sure hope you get some rebloom. I'd love to see a second round of your little ones!

Here's a couple relief form sdlgs from today

Nice ones, Sue and Dianne. My favourites are Sue's shell pink, and Dianne's yellow with the light orange halo.
Char,
I really like the green throats on the first two!
