Took a photo this morning showing Wings On High X Color Flash with one of the odd side branches blooming.
Thumb of 2022-08-05/Seedfork/339de0
So, I was thinking that because a branch had to have at least two buds, that my odd "side shoots' were proliferations at first, but now I can see that y the single growths with the single buds, are now showing to actually be growing into branches that have sub branches. Well at least that does improve my branch count, or proliferation counts seem to have very little importance compared to branch counts.

That's a really nice bloom on the variegated sdlg. Thumbs up

Guess it depends on if you like UF's. I like #3 ,too. Although #1 is also nice.

Heat, humidity and dry, but the sdlgs keep going. I watered some of them tonight and will get more watered tomorrow.

That looks like a good patterned one to start with David.

Well that's different, one to watch for sure Gary!

Love the first one Tim Thumbs up

then there's this weirdo from the '17 keeps. Thumb of 2022-08-06/Char/540d99

I crossed it with a few things out of curiosity and planted a handful of seeds to see if that sepal patterning would pass on. It does, sometimes. Image shows new sdlg half closed D'Oh! it was very early morning and not open. There's a half sib, (Painted on Jeans X Lost in the Translation) X weirdo that opens early, bigger flower with a nicely branched plant underneath, no sepal pattern, that will be saved and the two crossed next year. Why not crossed this year? I forgot Rolling my eyes. Priorities .... Whistling Not sure I like it, but sometimes you need to do a few crosses just for fun.

Wow, that weirdo is kind of fascinating, Char. I'm glad you posted that. I'd keep crossing with it, too. Who knows what it might lead to. Good luck with that.

Seems like you have really good luck with Painted on Jeans as a parent.

Sue, like the Dragon's Eye seedling.

Debra, absolutely love the PED seedling! The first near white in your last post is stunning!:tongue_smilie:

Found some worms in a few seed pods today. They sort of looked like European Corn Borers but they weren't. Hope this doesn't become a regular thing. Glare Crossing Fingers!
