Thanks Mike. It's an older one so not as much cristation as newer ones. I actually like the soft colors and playful look so it hasn't met the digging fork yet. Smiling

Another set of siblings. This first plant just started blooming, about two weeks later than any other seedling I have. It opened up with some midrib frills on two petals, and what looks like a double or split pistil (?).

The siblings are also very late blooming, and are all still actively blooming, with many buds yet to go.

The cross is Ruffled Strawberry Parfait x HNF. The late-blooming factor must be related to Ruffled Strawberry Parfait....

Pistils will split sometimes just at the tip, sometimes all the way or somewhere in between. There should still be 3 tips on a normal bloom 3+0, 1+1+1 or 2+1

#3 & #4 are my favorites on this set.

Definitely #1 Big Grin and #4. Love seeing your lates and the progress your making Sue! #1 is really neat with the midrib cristation going all the way to the tip of the petal. Looks like it opened nicely too, sometimes the midrib cris have trouble opening from the tip to throat tension on the midrib by the extra.

@shive1
Debra, shifting over to the seedling thread because there's a Let the Sea Resound kid blooming now. It's a huge blue-lavender bloom with big watermark that I saved last year as I was digging rejects. Thought maybe it was a fluke that it was blooming so late but it just started now, so maybe not. Measured it and it's just about 7 1/2".

I've checked the sdlg map umpteen times and the cross is LTSR X Weird Anatomy making it a sibling to this one
Thumb of 2022-08-27/Char/7b350e
I do get lavender w/watermarks from WA, it just seems strange to have one blooming so late. LTSR just finished blooming so maybe. Shrug!

Another one of Karol's that I so wanted to use and like was Soli Deo Gloria. I moved it from the cramped new plant/breeder bed and it has been much happier this year...it wasn't happy where it was because it is also short. Or at least shorter than everything else out there. Sdlgs have been short too although I'm hoping this one gets as tall as it was in the sdlg bed before moving to keep bed last year. sdlg x Soli Deo Gloria

Couldn't stop looking at this one today. It's just so darn cool!!!

I seem to be really liking the blue and purple color combos.
I must admit that last one is really impressive.

Today I was happy to find this one in my seedlings garden:

Thumb of 2022-08-30/Nightlily/b0eb7e

Diameter 7.5" (larger than both parents and a higher scape too), pod parent was this seedling - it's one of my latest flowering plants since years:

pollen parent is Nefertiti:

Here are some of the best very late seedlings I found today:

Thumb of 2022-08-30/Nightlily/3bec4f

A closer look on these might be interesting - all are siblings out of Fat Lady Sings and Running Late, all are very late and all are just yellow:

Thumb of 2022-08-30/Nightlily/a28c44

my personal favorite is the curly one at the right - it has the best green throat

I'm sure I know what you were hoping for with the Emerald Starburst x Yankee Pinstripes cross, but oh wow! That sdlg is really pretty...if you're not happy with it I'm sure I can find a spot Whistling

Sue, those are all nice. My two favorites are the first one with the feathered eye and the same yellow curly one you like. Love the feathered eye! The tight curls on the yellow are cute and the white edge makes it pop. Even with the curls it looks like a big bloom. The pink on the right in second row looks good too.

Sue I like the seedlings. The red and pink ones stand out in addition to the first one.
I like the green throat on the third yellow as well.

Tim your LBB seedling is cute.

Squeaked in with this one under the wire!
Rebloom of Thistles and Thorns x HNF. A stunner in the garden.
Bright yellow edge, big petals showing the HNF crispate form a bit, IMO.
2XL bloom, maybe 7.5". Midrib cristation on this one too!
They're all trying to get in on the act.

That sdlg sure does have a lot going on Sue. Looks like it has notches cut in at the tips both side of the midrib? Always good to see rebloom on a northern sdlg! Thumbs up

Like that last one Tim, but the Grand Daddy sdlg would be my pick. Love the color.
