Tim - Nice seedlings! I'm glad you didn't let not having the parents names stop you. That last one is my very favorite one!

I love the weirdo daylilies! Curious, has this happened to anyone? Here is a cute new little bloomer that is missing a sepal each time! Thought an animal ate it because it is not out of the question, but with each bloom, this is what I got! I'll see how it does in its 2nd year.

It is a very pretty one, even without the sepal. It will be interesting to see what happens next year.

Here it's the time for the very late seedlings now:

Fat Lady Sings x Hurricane Eduard VT (Olallie) - color, flower size, bud count and branching is really good, flower form needs to be improved

Another big pink one (7.5" Diameter):

and two different big yellow ones:

Some tiny ones - many buds, very late but not really eye-catching:

This one impresses me more every day - perfect little flowers (3 inches diameter), well branched scapes, more than 25 buds/scape, very late:

Such beautiful seedlings everyone!
Color me nodding
"Wiggles" is still bud building and pretty much the last thing flowering…

Sighing! Pretty sure I'm gonna dig it out once the pods are done. Might be a good bridge plant but so little space, so many others to grow…

A few late ones blooming today. There are more in the seedling beds at the front of the house, and I will take photos of those this afternoon. These are from the back seedling beds.

Jester's Collar x Gudrid
I have posted this one before. It is from 2016, and I keep it because of the interesting colour. However, it doesn't have many buds.
Thumb of 2022-08-16/touchofsky/91b02d

This one is a late bloomer, however, again a little low on the bud count.

Nice seedlings Valerie. Thumbs up Isn't it frustrating when a pretty flower just won't make enough buds?

On that subject. What sort of bud count do you guys think is "adequate" for a new registration? I've seen a lot of new ones that have fairly low counts. An unusually dynamic flower might outweigh a low bud count while a more run of the mill bloom would probably need lots I would think. I know there are no hard and fast rules regarding this, I'm just looking for opinions.
