Those last two are really pretty Tim. Love the form, including the blunt sepals, and edge on the yellow.

the sdlg has stripes! the others will show stripes when they bloom, too, Orion.

Great seedlings everyone

I love the weirdo daylilies! Curious, has this happened to anyone? Here is a cute new little bloomer that is missing a sepal each time! Thought an animal ate it because it is not out of the question, but with each bloom, this is what I got! I'll see how it does in its 2nd year.

Fat Lady Sings x Hurricane Eduard VT (Olallie) - color, flower size, bud count and branching is really good, flower form needs to be improved

This one impresses me more every day - perfect little flowers (3 inches diameter), well branched scapes, more than 25 buds/scape, very late:

"Wiggles" is still bud building and pretty much the last thing flowering…


Pretty sure I'm gonna dig it out once the pods are done. Might be a good bridge plant but so little space, so many others to grow…

A few late ones blooming today. There are more in the seedling beds at the front of the house, and I will take photos of those this afternoon. These are from the back seedling beds.

I have posted this one before. It is from 2016, and I keep it because of the interesting colour. However, it doesn't have many buds.


This one is a late bloomer, however, again a little low on the bud count.

On that subject. What sort of bud count do you guys think is "adequate" for a new registration? I've seen a lot of new ones that have fairly low counts. An unusually dynamic flower might outweigh a low bud count while a more run of the mill bloom would probably need lots I would think. I know there are no hard and fast rules regarding this, I'm just looking for opinions.
