Very Cool, Susan! I LOVE unusual, exotic blooms, that Sinningia is gorgeous! Do you grow any Amaryllis in the ground?

No, we're too cold to grow in the ground. That red Amaryllis is open wider today, I was wrong, not red on the inside, but green.
Pretty Clivia! Mine are starting too!

Would you believe I got that Clivia for $5 !!

What zone are you in, Susan? Brent&Becky's catalog says Amaryllis can survive zone 6 winters if planted deeply and mulched well. I'm considering trying it with a few right up against the house for extra protection. That is, if I can find some clearance cheapies sometime this spring or summer.

From what I've read, spring planting is advisable for pushing zonal limits, allowing bulbs to become well rooted and established before winter. Makes sense to me. Speaking of which, that reminds me- I need to check the Agapanthus I planted last spring! Sure hope it made it!

We're in zone 6 but I don't have any decent garden beds to plant them in. We're all rock here.

Ohhh I'm late Neal I have some more forced bulb pics for you guys coming up. Raining hard here and will get out with the camera later. But as far as the Tulipa T. must be the regular kind because the leaves aren't variegated. I have trillium vaseyi in containers and excited about all of them emerging. Posting pictures soon.

I've never seen a variegated F.imperialis! Cool! I had some Nectaroscordum at the old place, lovely and graceful. Must pick up some more of those!

Well I will say I had a time with bulbs this year! I always said I was terrible at them. I did have many that rotted and molded. I think I watered them to Oblivion!! I had Dichelostemma ida-maia in a container. To later read... they like it dry *Blush* . So I dug in the pots to find them mush and moldy...ooops! I over watered the Lord lieutenant anemone and holliandia. But saved some and they are emerging. The ground is best for bulbs in my opinion... Sad I also found that the ones doing the best were refrigerated for 4 months..
