Well, I believe I have a pod set on Lullaby Baby with WB So Blue Without Theresa, and I have set three pods on WBSBWT--two of them are with Star Child pollen and the third is possibly with Lullaby Baby as pollen parent--my record keeping leaves a great deal to be desired. If the pods don't fall off, I will plant all of them, and hope for goodies. I know these are not true minis, but they should still be fairly small, I hope. Oh, here is the first bloom ever on Sweet Surprise. I'm the one surprised, for there doesn't seem to be much color, nothing like that seen on the Plant Data Base.

Daylily season starts here with my extra early minis, 'Penny's Worth' and 'Mini Stella'. Both are tiny flowers with grassy foliage.

Someone tell me about this one. I know the daylily but the genetics? Irish Eyes is a tet and Everybody Loves Ernest is a dip. Those are the listed parents of Mayor of Munchkinland. It has 2 registered kids and both are diploid.

I believe Irish eyes should read Impish Eyes which is a dip in the AHS data base.

Yes. Makes me wonder if the real parent is 'Irish Eye', reg 1965 Terry-B, rather than 'Irish Eyes'. It's a diploid and the description of it makes more sense too. Smaller bloom and plant with an eye. Probably would take the Herringtons to clear it up.

I'm skipping the Herrington super pricey MOM for this just right priced Everybody Loves Earnest. Today ELE bloomed four on one scape and two on the other scape and in the ground less than a month--what a performer.
