I like the way he moved the mail, system messages & home icons around.
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

It's not the same, though. I totally see her point about the t-mail being part of the unique-ness of this great site

Instead of an envelope maybe it should be a little tree icon ... or an envelope with a tree in the center. Mail is mail, LOL. When I hover over the envelope it doesn't say anything ... highlights in green but doesn't say tree-mail or anything else ... may be my laptop.

Hovering over ANY of the icons on the floating toolbar should generate a "tool-tip" -- a little pop-up that defines the icon for you

I think a lot of new members would understand an envelope as intuitively giving the meaning of "mail" whereas a tree icon would be unhelpful. I'm trying to make the site easier and more accessible for new people. The word "Tree-Mail" is plastered everywhere, though. In this one place it has been replaced by an icon, yes, but everywhere else it still says Tree-Mail.
It gives the site a more clean and professional look also. I do like the term tree-mail but it is hardly unique. When I first heard it used here, the first thing I thought of was Survivor, where the cast collects their tree mail almost every episode for the last 13 years.
Dave: LOL, I was just joking about a tree icon etc.
Mary: Nope, that doesn't work on my end ... when I hover over the icons they all are highlighted in a green color but no pop-ups with definitions but that's okay cause I know what each one is for.

I'm on Safari right now but use Firefox too and it's the same with FF, everything highlights green when I hover over it but no pop-ups ... which is fine really.

Yes, it pops up as a new thread on your home page above your watched threads just as before and while you are on other forums, the envelope is outlined in red. Maybe not as bold as before, perhaps that can be changed, maybe the entire envelope itself turning a brighter red.
