That settles it! I'm buying Rita a plane ticket. All the weeds you can pull, and friendly BIG doggies to help do it! Hilarious!

But they'd be DIFFERENT weeds! Doesn't that count? Hilarious!

I thought I could keep summer squash going till the end of September but that is looking less and less likely every day. Yesterday I pulled and tossed three, today pulled and tossed two. They look so ratty from the powdery mildew that I am sure more will follow. But I pulled due to the fact these showed the typical wilt that comes from SVB. Just don't feel like fussing with the squash plants like I do earlier in the season. Plus the stems on the gone ones were so anemic, not the nice green they should be at all.

Picked my last Sugar Cube melon today and the melon vines look done in and done. Doesn't look like I am going to be getting any fruit from those Sweet Sakura melons I planted.

The Camilla cuke vines are totally done. I picked the last of the Camillas today and probably the last of the Straight Eights as well. That entire larger trellis section is done for and needs to come out.

The Burpless on the short trellis though are still going strong. Those are amazing.

I took pics but they are in the camera and will not be downloading today.

It is nice to still be picking veggies in September. I had also picked some tomatoes today. Not getting the tub fulls each day I got earlier on the summer in peak season but that is okay as I still have plenty for cuke and tomato salads and tomato sandwiches. All in all I think it was a fabulous season for the veggie garden this year.

Thank you. The funny thing is I have no talent for art. I can hardly even draw a stick figure. So I guess I will just stick to taking photos of my pretty veggies. Smiling

Rita, there are infinite varieties in artistic expression. Drawing is only one tiny little part.

Next spring I will be happy. This fall I think I will be just tired and sore! My bulbs came. Three orders arrived so now I have 4,450 bulbs in my living room. I have sorted them and will be starting on my planting tomorrow morning. I have allotted the three weeks left in September to get them done as I have more bulbs coming to plant in October.

Here they are on my front porch before I dragged them in.

I opened them and sorted them as best I could which took a really long time. So when you open the packing box from ADR bulbs, this is what you see. A box containing the tulips or daffs with a pretty picture.
