It is amazing, I planted all at the same time andthey came up like that. Those are the ones that made it out of the bunch.

How long did it take for the seeds to come up?

Lynn, some of mine only took 5 days others two weeks or a bit longer! You honestly should read Wilfreds instructions on D.G. He went step by step so that even I could understand how to do it. I agree

Fresh seed should start coming up in two weeks and should all be up within 30 days. This assumes porous soil and warm conditions.I soak my seed for 4-8 hours--no more or they will turn to mush.Plant them about 3/8ths inch deep and water them in.Seed must be fresh
or you are wasting your time.

YOOHOOO JIM, heck I haven't seen you in ages, glad to see your babies are still growing, mine are too but sure are slow. I still never got any from Wilfred, guess he has been to busy, I did get email to say he would send some but that was awhile back, I will have to get a picture of mine soon, right now I brought all my plants up from the basement and i can't get to them for a picture, lucky I can reach them to water. Rolling my eyes.

Doris, what do you think the chances are of one of the "dark Knights" getting even a bit of a flower on this year? I'm dieing to see it. I'm expecting this wonderful deep blue, but, with these things you can never really tell, but even a bit of blue would suffice for me. Heck, if I can just get one of them to grow a foot tall, flower or no flower, it would please me. Sticking tongue out

Its allways nice to talk to people who are in the same boat with me or should I say have been in the same boat. I am not going to give up I have really fallen for these plants and Jim your right if they were easy I wouldn't be intrested. I think I am having a problem with watering I tried to not over water and nothing happened so I added a little water and the seeds molded I could see the mold on the surface where the seed was so I mixed a little peroxide in water and sprayed them and the mold went away. I am trying five seeds in a lightly dampened paper towel in a plastic bag on top of the frige. I think my biggest problem is the weather here I see where its going to be sunny for the next four or five days but still pretty cool nights. I am sure ready for warmer weather my arthritus has loved the nasty weather we have been haveing but I havn't. Pretty weather is just around the corner then hot and humid. I won't be happy then either. I think I'm gonna take a day off and go fishing and let the seeds take care of them selves. Mellisa I am holding some seed to plant with the moon as soon as I figure out when that is.........take care folk I really appreciate all of the support.....Ron

Plant by the Moon: All day Thursday and Friday, Mar 4-5.

Waning moon, (good for roots and underground things) in Scorpio, 'trine' Sun in Pisces. This would tend to very 'wet' plants, so don't overwater for sure, both Scorpio and Pisces being water signs.

Hmm, where are my carrot and beet seeds?

Ron consider using a windex spray bottle to water just until the seeds sprout, using it you won't disturb the position of the seeds which should be very very close to the surface. Remember damp, not wet. Good Luck. Rolling my eyes.

haha, the broccoli is coming along. 100 in a frige box not even big enough for one plant. The chickens go wild for the leaves!

And I've guesses a way for me to water my DRs, dump water on one side only of the pot, not the whole pot wet, then maybe the water has to migrate over to the other side, and not be over watered.

Jim, the leaves like to stay dry. I just about ruined all my DRs by foliar feeding, spraying fertilized water on the leaves. The stems and caudex, OK, but not leaves.
