I am kinda new to named daylilies. Many of the iris people I know bring lilies to our swaps and auctions now. Lilies are a great way to get blooms throughout the season - unlike our irises.

Of the lilies posted here, my favorites are: SDLG. FOURTH OF JULY IN GEORGIA X DEADLIEST CATCH, Freaky Good, and Women Seeking Men. Register that seedling! Hurray!

Rebloom for Galaxy Explosion. On a very short scape that didn't grow upright. That wasn't a problem with the earlier scapes. Kudos to anything that can manage the dry, baking heat we have at this time of year. 100F yesterday and supposed to be 102F today.

Welcome to the Daylily forum Linneaj!

Kudos to Galaxy Explosion for reblooming with the high temps. Thumbs up
A few more still blooming...

Clear Fork, super branching and loads of buds, a great one for the late season.

Hubbles Buddy, grows and blooms, but I think it needs a home in a warmer climate to really shine.

Jewel of the Oasis, one of the clearest colored cultivars I grow, wonderful lavender orchid on a great plant.

Lost in the Translation, an 'In Taffeta Patterns' kid with changing color patterns.

Raspberry Sickle, big creamy yellow with a soft raspberry eye and edge.

Yes, a map is very helpful! Also, putting the name of the plant on the blade of a plastic knife with a Sharpie marker, then putting it IN the ground with the daylily is a good idea. Daylilies need divided every few years - and you'll find that knife when you divide the plant - at least then you will know which plant it is, if all other tags get lost.

3 more were added to the collection today. "take me along" "catherine woodbury" and "april fools". Now I have some holes to dig! My husband is going to run out of grass to mow, maybe then he can stop talking about buying a new lawn mower, eh?
allons-y!

I've heard really good things about Dream Sequence, very pretty. Like caitlinsG I find the color of Merlin's Moth strange and fascinating.

Rebloom on Fiestaville today. Okay, y'all please tell me what kind of bloom this is -- poly? or double? -- it isn't normally like this, I know that much. But I DO like this. Smiling

I don't mind Merlin's Moth, Brian. But a dormant, alas.

Thanks Margaret & Vicki. I wouldn't mind a bit if it always bloomed double. I like it both ways. I was very surprised to find a rebloom scape this late.
