If I were a dog, I think I'd enjoy digging in the sand, too! Sounds like a really lovely day!

I spend a lot of time doing things with my dog. Walks and such plus we have play dates with her other doggy friends. I think she has it pretty good. Today besides the walk at the beach we went for a car ride locally.

I like the fact that she is good off leash so I can take her where she can get lots of exercise. She seems like such a happy little dog.

Sounds like a blissful doggy life to me!

I used to think my cats had a blissful life, too. And then I brought home a baby!

I am almost always home so the dog is rarely left by herself. Although she is fine if she is alone, no crying or barking or whining. When I go outside to garden I take her with me. If the weather is not too hot I take her along for rides when I do short errands.

I usually go for long exercise walks most afternoons that Lily just loves. She goes along and does a lot of sniffing. And rarely do we not meet up with at least one other dog on our walks. There are just so many dogs around here,

Rita, you are a good mommy. I think you and Lily are a great pair and you are definitely good for each other.

Little Lucky, my barncat has been missing for two days. I am so worried something may have happened to her. She does not go off the farm or near any roads. Just hangs out and plays. Not like her to miss meals for two days.

Oh I hope the little barn kitty shows up unharmed although it doesn't sound good. I agree that they don't want to miss mealtime.

My little dog has been a great companion. I just love having her around!

I went over in the barn and looked around but no luck. So, I went to the hearing aid place for an adjustment and when I returned I went to the barn again and yelled for Lucky again. She came down the steps from the loft like nothing was wrong. What in blazes has she been doing for two days??????She was hungry and I fed her in the barn. I think something outside two nights ago, when Charle was barking so much, frightened her and she went up to her barn bed (she has a big house like one of those igloo things) up on the loft of the barn where she hides. But, she was not in there yesterday so I don't know where she was...all is fine and thanks for your concerns.

So glad the kitty has turned up unharmed and at last gotten her meal. I bet she was hungry!

Look at those eyes....they have taken over the house but are wonderful pets. I had Siamese cats for many years and my son just loved them. Now he has his own. I told him I thought he had his midlife crisis when he told me he wanted a male and female and was going to breed them. He soon changed his mind.

Sweet kitties but easiest not to have kittens and just have mom and dad spayed and neutered. Nothing like the constant wailing of a siamese cat in heat to make sure you never get any sleep.

I had a blue point and a seal point on separate occasions and the seal point was named Tiger because he was such a watchcat and so protective of the children. He would not leave the neighbor in her own garage one time and she called me and told me to come and move him so she could put her car away. She had to get out of her car and go into the front door because he would not move. He just sat and growled at her. He was something. Never bit anyone, just growled. The blue was very sweet and loveable.

Yes, those cats are characters for sure. Lots of personality!

Oh wow. Lily and I just staggered in from doggy play day time and pack walk. First the usual bunch of us ladies and our dogs met up and walked to the little local park that we go to with our dogs. Then walked back and walked around the neighborhood some trekking with our dogs. We must look a sight with our four dogs going for a walk.

Lily is both tired and her tummy is full having eaten so many treats while on the play date time. She had her breakfast this morning but I think she will not be needing any dinner!

I had to take my 17-year old cat, Worf, to the vet today. He has a urinary tract infection. Poor guy. At least he has some meds now and hopefully will feel better soon.
