Lily really loves the company of other dogs. But since she is so small gets afraid of big dogs that she doesn't know. But these are her friends, especially her best buddy Zack the Goldendoodle.

I have not heard of a Goldendoodle before. What is that?

A cross between a poodle and a Golden Retriever. They seem to be quite popular.

Rainy days like today are not too bad if we get a break in the rain so that I can get the usual afternoon exercise walk with my dog done while its not really raining. Yesterday the rain nicely gave me a break so that we took over an hour and a half just walking around the neighborhood. Today it is wetter even than yesterday, the grass and everything is just soaked.

I figured I would just take Lily dog down to the beach at the end of the block and let her run off leash to get her daily exercise. Rain had stopped for awhile although she did get legs and feet and tummy all wet from walking and running in the wet grass. But after an hour rain started to drizzle again so we hustled ourselves back home.

Our walks are daily but short because my back is still a bit on the stiff side and walking on the uneven ground makes it more difficult. I do hope I can increase the length of the walks soon. Charle gets a lot of exercise from running in and out the dog door and through the house from one end to the other, which is quite long since we are two houses in length when the door is open. He and Missy play and run from one dog run to the other and that is good for both of them.

That is good that Charle runs and gets his exercise!

Lily likes to run around inside the house sometimes also. Usually when we haven't gotten much outside time.

Oh yuck! Found a big pile of dog crap in the middle of the sidewalk right in front of my house as I took Lily out for our walk. Who lets their dog do its business in the middle of the sidewalk where people walk and then doesn't clean it up? I had to clean it up, don't much appreciate it.

We have strict leash and pick up after your dog laws here but still I do often see unpicked up dog poos laying around on the sidewalk strips. Lots of dogs here and a very popular walking spot along our block.

Maybe it is a loose or stray that did not read the rules? Rolling on the floor laughing My luck I would have tramped in it. I do it all the time with these darn chickens on my back deck. No more food or water there. Feed the cat and take dish in all the time. Took cat's water away and put it over by the barn and they still come up and poop on my deck and I step out in bare feet and you guessed it. I never miss. Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling

Well, at least I managed to miss stepping in it.

In spite of feeling really cold to me this morning, plus the wind was blowing, it warmed up to a decent day for a very long afternoon dog exercise walk. Exercise for both of us, helps keep me in shape plus Lily gets rid of her excess energy with the long afternoon walks we take.

So after all that walking I totally blow the doing healthy things by driving to Burger King and buying a Whopper. Whistling Hilarious!

Of course I had a give Lily dog a small piece of my hamburger meat. Plus she had the car ride and she loves car rides.

I had a whopper too but no long walk beforehand to justify it!

I rarely, rarely have fast food hamburgers like Whoppers or Big Macs. Maybe once every 6 months.

I used to have them often but no more since I am not about to gain lots of weight. Thumbs down

Even Lily is taking a nap as we got home from the long dog walk. Walked Lily and my friends walked with their dogs so four dogs in a pack walk all around and thru the neighborhood. And then we just sat at the park and let them play some. Tired her out. Especially at the park were she and Zack the Goldendoodle ran and chased each other.

Didn't go far with Lily on our afternoon exercise walk, I am just tired today. Lily is full of energy however she will have to wait for a longer walk till tomorrow.

Did buy Lily raw chicken and beef. Got her two packages of chicken gizzards which I split up into eating sized portions and froze. Also froze sections of beef heart I bought her.

I like to give her smaller amounts of raw meat to supplement her diet and have tried the chicken gizzards before. She loves them and knew right away that one of the grocery bags had stuff that smelled really good to a little dog. Rolling on the floor laughing So of course I gave her some of the gizzards today. Boy was she happy about that.

There are two Supermarkets I usually shop at here in town. The one never has anything like chicken gizzards or beef hearts or beef liver. Nothing like that. Often they don't even have chicken liver that day.

The other one always has those kinds of things so I go there when I want raw meat for Lily. Honestly. I have no idea what most people would do with the beef heart. I am going to feed raw to my dog.

Lucky dog! My mother always used to give the cats the liver gizzard and heart from a chicken before roasting it. They loved it!
