Thanks Jan.

Okay, I finally put some pics together of SDB Quench (Stout). It is a luminata that really does glow in the garden, and I just love it.

Rolling on the floor laughing Mary Ann. Or possibly Godzilla! And the plant itself just takes up so much real estate! And this after I divided it into 5 chunks last year!

Hard to believe it has Immortality in it's blood-line ! Does it offer to rebloom for you?

Which one Arlyn, Las Vegas or Quench? This is my first year with Quench, and I dug up and moved Las Vegas last year before it had a chance at re-blooming. Guess it will be a wait and see.

It certainly is Immortality's much larger relative! I will have to see if it wants to rebloom this year. Wouldn't surprise me if it did, since it grows so much.

Las Vegas is from a cross between Broadway x Earl of Essex...I don't see Immortality in it's parentage...am I missing something?

OOPS ! My bad !! but even at that "Earl" is a "short grower" (just like Immortality), and tends to have 'drooping" stalks.....and that monster you're growing is *straight & tall* !!

This is Smoke and Thunder:

It is registered as 38" and Mid Late. So why do I have a shorter plant with buds now? And they look purple. I am going to be some kind of ticked if Schreiners sent me the wrong iris for the second year in a row. Especially since I really wanted Smoke and Thunder and purposely planted it next to Touch of Mahogany because they compliment each other. Sighing! Deep Sighing!

This is a shot of Arlyn's Reddy Set from last year.

Does anyone else besides me think my Noid is Reddy Set? I have it on order from Stout this year, but I do think I already have one.

Where did you get it? Introduced in 2008. It can look purple on the falls. It is a probable & I can send you a plant to compare.

I got it from C & T Iris Patch, who were suppose to have High Wire. I got a message from them that it would come later than the rest of my shipment because they "had to get the order in" , which sounded odd to me at the time. So where they really got it, I have no idea. Obviously the wrong item was sent to them and me. But do not get me wrong, I am happy as can be if it really is Reddy Set.

Lucy - Thanks you for your kind offer of a comparison plant. This is your creation so please let me know how you are best benefitted. I feel I should pay you for it, beyond the postage, so that you get at least as much, if not more, compensation than you would get from a vendor selling it for you.
