Mary Ann - Beware, every time they bloom they have a way of convincing you to buy more. Hilarious!

Famous last words...... start making a list now otherwise you will just have to catch up later on. The little guys may not be your favorite but until the big guys bloom they will be a thrill and once you start collecting them they grow on you. It was love at first site with me and I just had to have more...... still do apparently.

Another plus I am seeing in having little guys is that by year two they are bunch happy. The first year you get a few blooms, by the second year they give you multiples. And that means whole patches of color.

Mary Ann, since the little guys start the show, they give you lots of ooohs and aaahhhs until the biggies bloom, and that is certainly addictive! If I had to choose a favorite size class, I think it would be the mid range- I'm extra fond of intermediates.

Leslie, beautiful shots of Inner Space!

I like the IB's too, Neal. They are prolific bloomers and I seldom have bloom stalks blow over in spring storms. Some of my favorite TB's took such a beating in a storm last spring I was afraid they would die. Most survived, some have increases and one, that I thought was dead, has a bloom stalk. smiles

I do like the intermediates too. This will be my first year with more of the BB's that have the larger blooms. Mine tend to bloom along with the TB's, so they add a nice layering to the gardens.

Just lovely, Leslie. I have two clumps of Cats Eye blooming. Haven't had time to take a picture yet -- will try for tomorrow. That's probably all of the little guys that are going to bloom this year -- but the talls are growing buds like mad. It's getting close to bloom time!!!

Tom -- your seedling has outdone itself this year -- I have a large large clump and so many bloom stalks that I cannot wait until there are flowers!!! Your seedling loves to increase and bloom!!!

I have 3 large clumps of it. One clump is under a wet spot on one of the gutters of the house. It always gets way too much water, and yet it's never had a problem with rot. Guess it's pretty resistant. I've crossed it with Art House, and Adriatic Waves, and they are growing this year. We'll see what we get. I like it's fragrance too.
