I think #1 is I. germanica
Pic 5, Lorelei
Pic 8 looks like Jurassic Park.

All guesses but check them out.

Any help on this beauty? Tall maybe 38" very distinct PBF and early since it is my first to bloom. We have ruled out Bountiful Harvest which was what it was marked. I thought Rare Treat but the experts say no. Any other ideas? The purple is quite dark on both the standards and the band on the falls.

If the lower half of the beard is kind of orange, it may be Quantum Leap, but the color of the purple isn't quite right, and I don't have it any more so I don't know if it has pbf.

This one has very pronounced purple based foliage, I don't think Jurassic Park has that.??

I'm noticing that yours has paler standards than JP. I got excited cuz mine opened today. Smiling

Could 9/10 be Dauntless or Indian Chief?

Nope, not Dauntless or Indian Cheif..I have both of those and this one is much lighter. I was leaning towards possibly Rameses but that is not it either. Here is a better picture of the noid.

I don't think it's IC, standards are too "tan", and not 'reddish" enough. It looks to be about the same age, though, and could very well be another of Ayers' intros. I have a pic of "Zuni" someplace(just have to find it !), and Zuni, as I remember ,had lighter colored std's than IC. Whatever it is, it's a nice iris !

it's 'lighter" than IC, but still not "tan" enough. So Check out some pictures of "Frank Adams" (Lapham 1937), and see what you think of that as a match. The AIS Twiki has several(, not sure about the Database).

There is no other way to separate an iris from there, they are in the side scroll bar so the link address doesn't change for the individual blooms.

@hazeleyes, how tall is your white NOID? Does it have PBF? You might look at 'New Snow'. That's one I eliminated in searching for my white NOID. If it's very tall, you might consider 'Purissima'.

Maybe I made that clear as mud on the Loreley. It does have a pronounced edge, the top one was the noid.
Here is another shot of Loreley
