Nah!! I love it when I get used to the colder weather and don't need a coat to run errands. Today was one of those days. Barely reached 40 but it didn't feel bad so a hoodie was good enough.

I'm ready for some real snow now!! I need to grease my sled and go have some hilly fun!!

Got to 70 today! I mowed to mulch the leaves onto the lawn. Cleared it to make Christmas happen. From the looks of the front tree, I will be blowing leaves again this weekend. You can't see the lights but you can see the daytime stuff.

Today I went to my old mobile home and dug up some more plants...whew...I did not think there was anything that I missed but yep, I found more.

Thanks, in Texas we pretend we have snow. LOL Today I woke up to find yellow leaves all over my penguin. What's wrong with THAT picture?? I can get obsessed over clearing those leaves. Or, I can get obsessed over clearing those leaves. I'm pretty obsessed about clearing the leaves. But on this foggy day, I will run errands. I have a big project going on upstairs. I have ripped out the carpet and now sanding the sub floor. I am half way done. I am going to white wash the ply wood after filling in the cracks. Debating whether or not to pencil/marker in some plank lines. It is a surprise for my College Daughter when she comes home. She always has been allergic to the carpet. So not to hijack this thread entirely, if there is enough daylight when I get home, I will blow off the leaves and pine needles in the back yard. The rain brought down quite a bit including a large 8" diameter pine branch.

Ooo... watching everyone talk about 40's as temps is nice. Y'all are keeping me warm. When I left the house this morning, it was 21.
It's only going to be in the low 30's for us. We got some snow yesterday. Did you guys see the giant 40+ car pile up on the freeway on TV?? Lol Yup.... that's Michigan.

My hubby and I looked at a house last night that had some blank yard space on the front and back yard. Leaves me some space to do all sorts of stuff. It's only a fraction at best the size we have now, but I'm happy. We are doing to put in an offer on it soon. Until then, we're going away to Texas next week for some work and a break for us.
So many fun things happening. I hope we get this house. Im dreaming of the flowers, bushes, garden and all sorts of bird loving feeders!

I took a break from refinishing the floor up stairs. It's all done now, furniture moved back in. But when I got too hot while sanding, I went outside and checked on the GH. It has been staying colder than I want these past cold nights. So I made sure the windows were closed tightly, added more insulation to the doors, and replaced/moved the corded insulation at the panels where the roof meets the sides. Then I kicked the heat up a notch. shrug. I hope it works. So far it's 6 degrees warmer tonight than it was last night. I'll take it! The sun was out and it was hard to stay indoors. But it was also windy. It was damn cold out!!

We bought one of our homes in December, and were able to start moving in on Dec 24th. We had no furniture, but I wanted a tree. We went to a local lot and told them we were just moving in and needed a tree. They surprised us by giving us the tree as a housewarming gift! We decorated it with ornaments we'd brought with us. We had that tree and nothing else in the house except our suitcases and sleeping bags, but we loved it!
