Just had to show my Bc. Punakea again now that all the flowers are open. This one is scented at night, showing its Brassavola ancestry.
Also my V. coerulea is developing more color as it matures, as well as the netted markings - tesselations? Hard to see in the brilliant sunshine. Brenda's has a lot more color than mine does, so I'm wondering how dark these flowers will go.
Last one is a final flower on Little Lulu. I always wonder if she has "that virus" but the flowers have always been spotty like this and the leaves are clean. They fade beautifully to an elegant ivory color.

That is just amazing that one little votive candle and a wet clay pot throws off that kind of heat..for that amount of greenhouse...very nice!
I'm LOVING your Blc. Punakea ..gorgeous
Little Lulu is a very pretty "Spotty", virus doesn't come to mind here. I love the Punakea!
Around here Blc Goldenzelle ' Lemon Chiffon' starts opening, both of my plants have some nice spikes, ready to pop.
C. Sacramento Rose is in bloom some more
And Barkeria melanocaulon started blooming. This one will keep blooming until Spring time. It has now a lot of fat roots. I need to remove it from its spot for petter pictures, but I will run the risk of breaking them or the spikes.
The sun is shining brightly in the greenhouse and there is no scent that I could discern on the 'Lemon Chiffon'.
But the bright color makes me very happy!

Yes, Gigi it's a brassavola/cattleya cross, I think. Let me check the tag . . . Yes, it says Bc. Punakea [Maikai X Lulu].
I'm nuts about the Lemon Chiffon, too. Just love anything pale yellow! It looks like a cross that might have come from Krull-Smith? We saw a lot of yellow catts with red splashes on the lips like that in their greenhouses.

The Oip. Nelly-Islen 'Swiss Beauty' has finished blooming on that first stem, but the other two stems are looking good. She's been in bloom for about 6 weeks. I have three of the Bc. Star Ruby 'Xanadu' AM/AOS in bloom. The first picture is one that's been in bloom for over a month and the other just opened up yesterday.

I am still kicking myself, Ibis. I sold a mounted Star Ruby a couple of weeks ago, one I had planed to keep for myself. It had 4 stems and looked like it would form 2 more. Some of those stems were already budding. Talk about a wonderful plant.

This red/purplish Catt ('Chia Lin)of mine is still gorgeously blooming and the fragrance is amazing! Best of all it is huge! glad it is recovering nicely despite being badly burned by scorching sun this past summer.
Thanks, Ursula. My wife and I sure are enjoying this solarium. I am still in awe at how beautiful it turned out and how well it seems to suit my plant's needs. With our unseasonable warm weather, I am opening windows and doors every day.
