Yes I am aware that there's not a lot of privacy on the internet but I didn't expect to see all of my posts from DG there, even the boring ones.

Never meant to ignore answering what I was showing, chuckl, the fact that I took those pictures while holding a steering wheel was illegal for me to be doing. Would have gotten me fired.
Gypsy, the forums on DG were perpetually grumping at us for being off topic- because they were posting those to advertise the forum as well- but there were forums like Back Porch that we could chat because they didn't post that forum to the internet.

I left DG a long time ago because so many things were available only to paid members and the new members were increasingly not paid members. Furthermore the way it was run was getting worse and worse. It grew to be an exercise in frustration, but I miss the friends from the Coffee list even though some are here and some are on FB.

Kitt, I think the wildest thing I ever posted on DG was probably my turmeric recipe. Which I could take down.... Haven't decided. It's so quiet over there now. I think 4 or 5 of us left.

A lot of admins here are quietly on Dg as well. It depends if you get a place here to feel comfortable

Nope, we aren't.

I was booted from DG years ago for mentioning this site. I miss a few of the people but it was getting crazy: a couple of raging drunks and other weirdnesses. I'm happy here and I use FaceBook a lot (carefully).

So are they going to throw me off here for mentioning DG? You know I am on Facebook, couple of garden groups there, couple on MeWe. The control factor is interesting. I'm even on Twitter, oh my gosh how horrifying... I think I shall remain quietly on DG for a while. Looks like the propragation forum picked up a little speed this year

This thread was started over 6 years ago and there have been several DG threads throughout the forums here over the years. It became a safe landing place when things started falling apart over there. Some stayed here, finding spots to continues chats and garden discussions, some continued on both sites, some went elsewhere. Dave is the owner of this site, the original creator of DavesGarden and so naturally mentioning of DG occurs here, it's part of this gardening site history. On here he has developed a rich and full featured site and continues to maintain and upgrade to enhance these features. Please never feel you are not welcome or can't ask any questions, it takes an a lot for anyone to be thrown off here. I also was on DG, but came here as soon as Dave started it! I have not looked back. Have learned so much and made precious friends. Dave has created a wonderful site!
