Laughing!!! I remember after one year our town flooded and the levee north of me broke. I wasn't affected as it goes a bit uphill from there and it's 2 miles or more out of town. Helicopters were flying over and Channel 2 stopped and asked if I wanted to comment. I had a severe sinus infection. My voice was gravel. I was greasy, looked like death and in old clothes. Does it LOOK like I want to be on TV?????? I smiled, politely declined and went in the house for the rest of the day, lol!

I have seen my post, and others, come up in searches many times, and at the oddest times. It kinda makes me laugh, as Im searching for info, and the best they can do is have some mindless post I made lol. You dont have to associate the search with DG or ATP. Shoot post from the pre DG days come up as well, from different sites.

Yep, if you don't want anything of yours showing up in searches, stay off the internet.

Now that Thanksgiving is over and a new year is approaching - does anyone keep up with what is happening at DG nowadays? Since I did not renew my subscription and was immediately terminated from the subscription threads (understandable, but a bit hurtful that after 10 years of belonging no one there cared enough to even send an email asking why I was not subscribing or if I was dead, etc.), I cannot see much there now. Just wondering. Here I go to the forums (fora?) that I like and browse every day. I especially like seeing the banners every day. There is no going back (probably would not be welcomed there anyway).

I'm no longer there and I miss hearing from my friends at Coffee on a regular basis, but I have no intention of returning. Like you I'd been there 10 years or so.

I was thinking about DG earlier today when I came across a Christmas gift a friend there sent me. I've now lost track of her and many others. I have no idea what's going on there now - they booted me for mentioning this site. katie

I never got an email mentioning my subscription was due either. I haven't been on there in months and frankly am not missing it anymore. Most people from there are here and many more that weren't that are just as friendly and nice.

I mentioned DG on another thread this morning, lol!

I don't go back either. Mine was done in April. I did get asked to renew. I walked away with no intention of going back. I see a couple Coffee and Chair people on Facebook. I was on Chair. I miss them, but they were having no part of NGA.

I re-upped last month because of all my friends on Coffee...........I said that if they ever went to a FB group I was done. Thank God most all of them felt that way.

One member I knew did start a private FB group for some of us. I don't think anyone has posted for a while, but it sure was a happy tearful reunion. It was after Kristi wrote a beautiful tribute on my birthday on FB. Love her dearly! Funny I was just thinking about that this morning too.

FB can be good for somethings. I never air dirty laundry or comment on those who do. Scroll on by.

I have never posted anything sensitive or very personal on FB. I do think it may be the longest soap opera in history, till it's done. I will admit to posting some things on D mail and tree mail, I would not want to be public. I hope they do remain private, but today's hackers can go almost anywhere so nothing online is truly private. I just don't believe I'm a person of interest to anyone, so use care when posting anything. May the joy of the holidays be with you, and for all you that know me Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Ric, I totally agree with you about FB. I do post "stuff" there, but.........Oh. My. Gawd...........the DRAMA. Gimme a break, already.

I do have a FB, but my employers would go bonkers seeing my pix, so they are banned. My family doesn't do drama, one small hyperventilate and you are history. It mostly is for family, chuckl
