@DogsNDaylilies I checked out what crosses I have finally. Little Business is a bust. I think I gave away most of my crosses with it to the daylily seed bank. Most of what is left are bee pods and everything around it is pastel.

Lakes Midnight Beacon was mostly crossed with pastels and hot orange (Holly Hill Blazer and House of Orange). It was also crossed with my avatar which I'm probably going to toss this year because the flowers are way down in the foliage.

Confidante was also crossed with my avatar (which is bizarre since it is a tet and that seedling is a dip but 1 parent goes both ways so it's possible). It is also crossed with my tet seedling (South Seas x Sea Urchin). In the pic you can see my avatar way down in the corner.

I also have Confidante x Roman Cohort.

I also have a Mineral Springs bee pod. It's located in the same bed as Confidante but also Jambalaya, Fiji, Monkey Giggles & Jolie Blonde.

Let me know if any are of interest!

Elena, a couple of those are seriously piquing my interest.

...I do love oranges and I like the Holly Hill Blazer, so I'm considering that.

Hmm....I'm actually trying to cross for shorter daylilies (that sit right at or just above the foliage), so a cross of that with the taller Lakes Midnight Beacon wouldn't be a bad thing...and the avatar is pretty bold-colored. Crossed with a purple, that could lend to a nice red-purple. From the picture, it's hard to tell what the substance is like on your avatar bloom....is it pretty thick? (What is your avatar? Is it a seedling of yours?)

I have to admit, I'm a little confused. Is the daylily parent you're referencing as your avatar the hot pink one or the reddish-looking one that's peeking out from the right? The 'peek-a-boo' one looks like a nice color and I could see that going really well with confidante. Confidante would also be great paired with another bubbly or toothy variety of which I'm wondering if the (South Seas x Sea Urchin) seedling is.

I think the easiest thing to say for now is that if you have any Confidante crosses with a red, purple, red-purple, or even an orange (a medium orange, like South Seas, or better), that would greatly interest me!

Ok ya'll. I just had one of my nightmares come true. It's horrible. I have been crying and panicking. I have always been afraid of listing something and then it not being there and someone dibbing it. O M G. It happened! I have spent an entire hour searching for the seeds! And crying. When I finally gave up looking for it, I came across another envelope. Thank the lord. It seems I have that exact thing in another envelope and was able to produce the seeds. Yes, thank you Lord. Hurray!

Oops! Sorry I was so confusing! I had 3 seedlings bloom this year. Two were dip seedlings of Holly Hill Blazer x NOID. One was South Seas x Sea Urchin.

Unfortunately my phone doesn't take good pics of reds. For some reason the red of the crocosmias throws it off. The picture is of the tet seedling but it is planted right next to my avatar. The tet seedling is a brighter purple of the Sea Urchin parent. It was just starting to get the halo & bubble edge of Sea Urchin too I think (I knocked a bunch of buds off by accident).

My avatar is one of the dip seedlings. It come out magenta in some pics and more purple in others. It wasn't quite as purple as the tet seedling but it was VERY bright. Good substance too because the NOID parent has very thick petals.

I think I crossed the dark purples with bright orange just because I couldn't imagine what in the world that cross would produce!

If I understand correctly, that means you have a cross of Confidante with a bright purple seedline that is an offspring of Sea Urchin? (I'm assuming South Seas isn't the parent, if it's purple.) LoL, I'm sorry, I'm trying, I really am!

Maybe it would help in list format? Here's what I think I understand that you have:

Lakes Midnight Beacon x (pastels)
Lakes Midnight Beacon x Holly Hill Blazer
Lakes Midnight Beacon x House of Orange
Lakes Midnight Beacon x red 'peek-a-boo' seedling in picture
Confidante x red 'peek-a-boo' seedling in picture
Confidante x (South Seas x Sea Urchin - a bright purple seedling?...this confuses me if South Seas doesn't have any purple and Sea Urchin is more pink than purple, though Blinking Confused , so I think I misunderstood something)
Confidante x Roman Cohort
Mineral Springs x (Unknkown)

DND you didn't misunderstand. I thought South Seas would change the color more but it just seemed to make the purple brighter (more pinkish reddish). Here is a pic of my Sea Urchin before it died.
Thumb of 2016-01-05/bxncbx/09acce
Sea Urchin was a muddier purple.

My crosses are:
Lakes Midnight Beacon x (Holly Hill Blazer x NOID)

Holly Hill Blazer x Lakes Midnight Beacon

House of Orange x Lakes Midnight Beacon

Confidante x (Holly Hill Blazer x NOID)

Roman Cohort x Confidante

(South Seas x Sea Urchin) x Confidante

Mineral Springs x UNK

Spacecoast El Bandito x South Seas

Forgot to mention that last one!

Awww, I know how that feels. Almost every time I list a packet because I'm "SURE" I have lots of that left, I wind up apologizing and embarrassed. And even when I count twice before listing, losing what I just counted is always a risk.

So it will happen, despite your best efforts. But now that we all know each other, we know it would only happen by mistake, after every effort to avoid that.

No tears!

Ah, okay, that makes sense, then! I was thinking it was a more vivid purple initially, but a more saturated reddish pink makes sense.

These are my three favorites. Thumbs up

I am really liking that both Roman cohort and confidante both appear to have white edges...their offspring could add a nice dimension to my red and purple hybridizing.

I always split, label, and count before I list seeds as available for swapping.

I like to postpone packing up until after trading closes. That way, I only have to openn up each tub of seeds once, and can pick everything I need for that swap in one pass.

>> I was going to get a jump start ... wanted to stay ahead

But that is smart, too! \

After the current swap I'm in (DnD's swap), I hope I have enough time to keep track of and RECORD how many of each type are left over after the swap. Then I won't have to re-open tubs and re-count for the next swap.
