Nope my father in law is going to a retreat for work and he retires in 5 months. That is what he wanted to wear with his dress shirt, vest, jeans, and a cowboy hat.

@jimard8 I think I'm going to copy your winter sowing since we are the same zone... You just put them outside and they stay out there? Do I find the sunniest place in my yard? And if I don't get snow water them? Thanks for the info Smiling

@DogNDaylilies I know!!! First year doing seed swaps and I'm hooked, line and sinker!! Good thing I stopped in the nursery they had ceramic pots on sale for $1, they were chipped but I don't mind. I picked a package just for myself and one for the swap. Now I will try to fight the urge to swap my pack of Nasturtiums!! Whistling

Cheryl you are going to love winter sowing! The plants are stronger and healthier. If you live in a windy area or have animals that will knock the jugs over its best to secure them in a box. You just check them for moisture when snow and rain have stopped for the season or its been dry. There is no damping off, no making room in your house for starting plants. There is tons of info here if you need to know what needs to be sown when. I love it.

Start saving your containers now. I think your zone winter sows later than mine so you have time.

Littlecheryl You have to water sometimes , Poppies and daylily , and delphinium all sow now long stratify , you have altitude to consider also ?
Mine are out there where they would get sun usually , not much of that here in winter ,
Greens are an easy that way ,,
jvdubb I read the winter sow forum also

@DogsNDaylilies I just added 4 daylily crosses to the swap. I've found a bunch more to add and will try to add more each night. But these listed tonight are the ones you should be especially interested in.

Unfortunately the only one that would work for me was dibbed already [(South Seas x Sea Urchin) x Confidante]. I didn't see the one I was most interested in, though, which was (Roman Cohort x Confidante).....or the other interest of mine [Confidante x (Holly Hill Blazer x NOID)]
