Thanks for the birthday well-wishes, everyone!

Woke up to 72F this morning. Another wonderful night with the balcony doors hanging wide open. High of only 75F today. It's supposed to start storming around 10:30am and pretty much go all the way through Monday morning with a limited few breaks in between as the temps get cooler and cooler Thumbs down

86°f at 10:30 this morning with humidity of 56%. The 'guy with the truck' came and hauled away my old sofas to deliver to my employees houses and I am waiting for the new sofas to arrive. It's warm but not humid, just the way I like it.

I'm so happy we are entering my favorite time of the year. I know, it's the worst in the north but have some pity on me when I am drowning in humidity in May and you are all loving your weather.

Beautiful Avatar Tarev .. love the colours ..

Jonna .. enjoy .. the sun came out for about half an hour here, and, I swear the Canadians came out from hiding .. it has been so dreary here.

Getting dark right now, and, the temps are falling ..

Belated Happy Birthday, James!

It looks like winter is going to start arriving here next week, with the big "Arctic high" coming through the country. At present, though, we're still having highs in the low 40s, no snow on the ground (and the ground isn't even frozen yet), and I'm still doing the fall cleanup! Thumbs up

50 for high today and sunny.

Artic air moves in this weekend. Hope it holds out long enough for me to vacuum out the truck tomorrow. Bought a Dwarf Alberta Spruce last week and put it in the back seat where it proceeded to shed like a dog for me. Now I have a visitation to go to on Mon and several friends are riding with me which means gotta clean it again. Sighing!

Marilynne,
Grey and dreary here too.

Sandy,
Ground is warm here too.

Pepper,
Sorry, but your tree shedding like a dog cracked me up! I do hope it's nice when you vacuum.

It's supposed to snow tonight, after 1:00 am. Maybe an inch! Oh, was that an exclamation that escaped me? Alright, first snow is pretty exciting.

By the time we got home with the twins our Christmas lights were on. How lit up we were! There is one other place besides us and the neighbor on the next block that does an extensive job, but they didn't have their's on. We bought the star shower and it lights up the big walnut tree by the road. The kids stood in front of it and were all lit with sparkles. Pretty cool! It was also pretty cold and breezy standing outside.

Woke up to 72F. High of 77F today with an 80% chance of scattered storms. I don't care if it's wet, I'm going to get out and enjoy the warmth before that arctic blast makes it all the way down to us.

92°f at 1;30pm today and expected to get to 96°f, the humidity is only 45% though so I'm celebrating!! The fair is ending on Sunday and I haven't gone this year, I usually go and get some bright throws to put over the terrace furniture so I don't have to wash the slipcovers as often from the cats sleeping on them. I just don't have the energy though, it's a lot of walking and I feel like I've seen it all and I'm not all that interested anymore. I may go to CostCo instead and look at mattresses - is that boring or what?

I went to the main mercado yesterday and got a new Virgen de Guadalupe that lights up with running colors and we put it up on the door. That's about the extent of our decorating, although I probably will buy a poinsettia for the hall table as well. My new couches came and my old couches went away so that is our christmas present for this year. I now need to find some bright fabric for cushions to make it more festive. I had the couches covered in denim, I like the color and it is easy to clean. There's a lot of blue in there though (never too much for me) so I need some other colors to lighten it up.

Currently it is 62F and sunny, just a gentle cool breeze and humidity is rather low at 37%.

48 and cloudy with a damp feeling. Slightly breezy too. Can feel the front working it's way down slowly.

For those of you who deal with snow and ice in winter time here's a tip(s) I posted in Midwest. This is on top of the remembering to top fluids and having a scraper handy. Thumbs up Hilarious!

Tip for those who may not have thought about it. Wal-Mart bags over side mirrors to keep snow off and not have to worry about scraping them. We also use tarps with either bungee cords or strong magnets over the windshield so less time waiting on the heater to get going and thaw it all out. We go OVER the wipers so that they don't freeze shut from the moisture. Same for door handles if tarp is big enough. Cover the handles so they don't freeze shut.

I can't tell you how many times we've had door handles freeze and had the wipers freeze up. They make tarps just for windshields or you can find a regular tarp and use it. Much easier and faster. Shake the snow off and throw it in vehicle and either use it at work again if still snowing or just leave it and worry about it when you get home and not in a rush to get going. Snow is on the way for a lot of us so some reminders and tips always come in handy before hand. Thumbs up

Good morning ..

Good tips Amanda ... have one of those windshield protectors, works well .. don't think they sell any vehicles up this way unless the side mirrors are heated :-)

28F at the moment .. and, we are awaiting a winter storm. Looking at the radar, it's quite nasty looking, freezing rain ..

Had fun at the party, no lampshade on my head .. LoL

Enjoy your day

Snow, mainly before 1 pm. SE wind 5 to 10 mph becoming SW in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 3 inches.

Marilynne,
The Snow Showers look great in tress!

Jonna,
Laughing, looking at mattresses, whatever floats your boat, lol!
So nice to get new furniture and I love blue too!

It's been snowing lightly since about 3:30 am and is finally puffier flakes. The perfect first snow. It took all morning but there is s light layer on the garage roof, but not the driveway.I can handle that.
