28 and dropping with flurries. Highway was dry and side roads just wet so no worries about that today but tomorrow it will probably be slick in the morning. Glad I don't work tomorrow!!

Wow, all of you make me feel warmer, though it is a damp-chilly day here, and in the 40's. We haven't seen the sun in five days and the prediction is for nothing but clouds until Friday. The rain that was forecast for tonight/tomorrow, leading up to the arctic blast coming in the overnight Thursday/Friday, has now been taken out. Our humidity is above 70% but by Friday, that drops to nose-bleed, 30%.

It's 87°f now at 5pm and the humidity is 59%. I had the AC on dehumidify for about a half hour a while ago as it was getting stuffy and we had people over. I started getting really cold though and had to turn it off, it's much nicer now.

Our yard is full of Baltimore Orioles, they are arguing and chatting and feeding on the native bauhinia tree I have out there (Bauhinia divaricata). They've been here for over a week and we think this is earlier than usual for them. They are so beautiful but with my one eye I just can't get a good picture of them, they move too much. This is a pic I found online

Wow! Such low temps. -18? I would not survive.

It's 63F here currently. Rain starts around 12:00AM as the front pushes in. Our high tomorrow is at 12:30AM and just drops throughout the day. Midday temps around 57F and low tomorrow night of 46F. Went to my sister's after work and moved plants inside and and tucked a few inside the garage just to be safe. The low tomorrow night inland is supposed to be 37F. Thumbs down

Good news is, the front won't last forever. High on Sunday is 78F Thumbs up

Isolated flurries. Mostly cloudy. Wind chill values as low as zero. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Happy day off Pepper!

Jonna,
We finally have orioles again after years of not seeing any. I love them!
They do love trumpet shaped flowers. That's beautiful. Is it scented?

James,
78° will be sweet!

HUGE smile looking at those pic of the Oriole .. looks a lot like a Robin, so beautiful ..
Is their 'song' as beautiful?

12F here .. had about an inch of snow, but, fluffy. I do think Lake Superior has thrown a snowball towards Sandy in MI.

Getting Lorna's folks gift box off today and TRYING to shop and NOT drop ..

James, hang tough, Sunday is coming !!

Enjoy

No snow here yet, near Lake Michigan, but up by Superior they're definitely getting it. December 8th and our grass is still green (even if it IS frozen) Hurray!

17 and sunny currently.

Was gonna stay home and do laundry and bake but a friend of mine is home and wanting me to come over so I'll bake when I get home. I have a manager who is leaving and I was going to do treats for all of them for Christmas. Since he's leaving I'm making his own batch so he'll get some anyways.

Well it is already 20 degrees F here and as I thought the weather for next week is now forecast to be higher than they thought yesterday.
No daytime highs below zero.

Yesterday I wore a heavy flannel shirt and no jacket, but was not outside that much.
Today as I have on a T-shirt I will wear a thermo-vest and gloves.
It is fascinating what a difference just gloves can make.

I often dress this way not because I am tough but I AM warm blooded and find being overly warm indoors more miserable that being a bit chilly outside.
If I travel I rarely do not have extra clothes in the back seat.

I find it so amazing that these birds in my backyard down here will be up there with some of you by next summer. Incredible!

I hear that the actual songs of the Oriole when they are looking for a mate are very beautiful. Here, all I've heard are them squabbling and chittering at each other so, not so beautiful.

88°f now at 12:30pm with the humidity at a nice 63%.

Yikes -- just saw on the Weather Channel that there was a 40-vehicle pileup today on highway I-96 in lower Michigan, near Lansing, with 3 people dead. Crying

Windy cold and 47. That is a drop from 58 at 8 am this morning. DH is half naked and whining about being cold. Sighing! I got my plants tucked in and Beef and Barley Stew in the crockpot. I need to cover my outdoor pipes. Weatherman says this quick freeze won't hurt the pipes. Since when do we believe the Weatherman? I miss the sun.

It is SO cold! I know I shouldn't complain after reading y'alls horribly low temps, but oh my goodness. It has been a straight-line constant bitterly cold wind of about 30mph all day long with gusts stronger. Our 2nd floor balcony doors blew open a few minutes ago. I tried to take some pics of the wind, but it's a hard thing to capture when you only have water and palms. Our cooling coastal breezes turn on us in the winter, and become horribly cold, wet, brutal winds. 46F currently with a windchill of 37F. And it FEELS every bit of 37F.

Our water temp is down to 64F. This cold blast has officially hit the kill-switch for swimming for the rest of the year.

It's 36F right now, and will go down to about 28F tonight. Lots of wind too. It has been 35mph and worse with gusts. I'm not liking this, but we will go back to AZ soon.

Ouch James, that's really cold and the pictures look cold too. Even your palm trees look chilly. Hilarious!
