This is the first time in several months. It has been less frequent since I got my orthotics and stretch the legs several times a day. But it really limits how much exercise I can do.

Those muscle relaxants knocked me out all afternoon. I just woke up.

Wow, Karen. I hope that cramp resolves itself soon. Are you potassium levels good? They can sometimes cause problems if they aren't. And were you doing anything you aren't used to doing? I've been known to get cramps like that when I visit my daughter in Vancouver where it is hilly, if I take the hill too fast w/o proper stretching.

No, I have labs done about twice a year and my potassium is always normal. And I hadn't done anything different, just my usual exercise. The podiatrist gave me some stretches to do and I do that daily.

So many folks get chronic cramping...I wonder sometimes what situations existed in the environment..or perhaps biologically ...eons ago - that created a need for rhe muscles to be or fuction a certain way that today facilitates the cramping that is so troublesome. I would love to be able to peek into the future when all the genes are decoded. It would be nice to know why some things biologically work the way they do.

Well, as we evolved, our diets changed. Our activities changed (sitting at a desk as opposed to out hunting animals for food). We started wearing shoes... a lot changed... But most of all, our lives extended. You know, when life expectancy was only 40 years, people might just not have lived long enough to develop all the aches and pains.

A longer life does mean more time for disease and other afflictions to develop. Shrug!

That is a REALLY good point. My feet never hurt when young and I could by shoes off the rack and never once pause worrying about fit or comfort.

I was thinking more about genetic programing for traits that were once needed..but are troublesome now. I truly believe that given enough time ( and no exposure to envirnmental pollutants that muck up the fine tuning) the human body would repair and correct and add and eliminate via genes to perfection.

Rosie, that would be great if they could find a way to stop those cramps, of course it won't do us any good. Hilarious!

Just walked back in from my exercise walk with Lily dog. We walked for 2 hours and 15 minutes and 3 1/2 miles. Such a lovely day today that I really enjoyed the walking.

We went for a walk today even though it is laundry day and DH had a work obligation. He didn't have to leave until about 8:30. We went walking early and I put one load in the wash before breakfast.

Did aquafit this morning. We will walk tomorrow but are having a discussion about where to walk. Happy that others are speaking up and not leaving it all to me. Hurray! Hurray!

I received 5 new hostas in the mail. Will have to find winter pots for them - I generally grow new hostas in pots for awhile.

The special of the day at the FC was cases and cases of organically grown baby spinach. Far more than we can realistically keep until Friday. We called other food programs, but they also got loads of it from the Ottawa Food Bank (which is like a warehouse). So, we are having homemade spinach lasagna for dinner. Drooling Thumbs up

BTW, does anyone else find the proximity of the "thumbs-up" button and the button to report a post troubling? I'd like to see the latter way separated from the others or maybe on the left side. There are times you might need to report an inappropriate post, but it seems to me that where it presently is, it might be too easy to hit it by accident.

Ann, it was already moved from left to right, I like it better there, and don't have a problem with it. Shrug!

I have hit it several times..oops..but there was a step to review the decision to report and so no harm done .

I agree I haven't done it yet but I've come close when aiming for the "thumbs up". I'm happy to hear that there's a step to review.
