When I go to the kids I seem to inhale sweet and salty. When the grandkids come over they want to know if I have any snacks I give them fresh fruit, etc. They then inform me they meant sweets and chips! So I give them popcorn

Of course, I haven't had a problem with losing too much weight since I had that bacterial overgrowth in my small intestine a couple of years ago. DH has Gastritis, but not sure why yet.

The problem is that I have found out I'm one of the "super sensitives" , something I never wanted to be. It means I react to the tiniest amount so all those things labeled gluten free still "get" me and boy I lose the weight FAST, so fast it makes your head spin. It takes me forever & ever to gain it back again.
I think this is payback for when I was a newbie & thought these people who said they were reacting to this & reacting to that were a little . I would sit here & . So now I'm one of "those".
I'm now on a very strict diet for 3-6 months to heal. It's called the gluten elimination diet developed & tested by the world's leading celiac researchers/experts. No frozen or canned fruits/veggies - only fresh, only fresh meats & fish - nothing canned & nothing like ham or bacon, dairy is allowed but nothing flavored & only aged cheeses, oils okay, eggs too, unseasoned nuts in the shell, dried beans, plain vinegar, honey, salt, no other spices or herbs unless they are fresh, 100% fruit juice no sugar added, white or brown rice. I am allowed gluten free Ensure type products so I'm going to get some of that.
Cooking is going to take even more time now but I will survive.
I forget the exact figure but somewhere around 87% of those who adhere to this diet will be able to go back to eating a "regular" gluten free diet.
