That is too funny. I used to bring home plants and either pot them up right away and tuck them in amongst everything or plant into the flower bed, hoping that they would have been there all along. Not the case in most circumstances.
I figure, we each have our own hobbies or activities that bring us happiness and a time where we can lose ourselves. At least this is how it works for me. I do not think about too much when I am working with my plants.

Do any of you have an old dog or animal? My basengi is 15 yrs old still active but not like she was. She stays home more and doesn't wonder the 10ac. She can't hear and is afraid to go out in the dark. She is old so she must go out in the dark. We turn on the porch light for her and stand on the ramp. She still is leary of wild animals. She hasn't many teeth left but she is healthy.
I will keep her as long as she is in no pain. It is odd I can't put down myself, Found out it only costs $50. I can live with that when the time comes. She has to stay out of my room because her paws carry poison oak which I get off of her. I pet her with gloves till late fall.
Animals and plants we care for them like our children.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you're asking in the first part. He'll complete this tour/contract in 7 years.

Oh shoot! Got another electronic issue. My Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone gets pretty warm real fast. It's mainly at the top third of the phone. I wonder why this is happening all of a sudden (2 days now). I use it to tether internet to computer. It gets warm even when unplugged from the electrical power source. I don't plug it into my computer.

It could be an app causing it, make sure all of your apps are up to date in the play store, usually if there is an overuse or heating issue, developers will push out an app update fix fairly quickly.

It could be your micro SD card for your storage. If your external storage is full or nearly full, or if it is a generic or "knock off" brand, try backing up your files on your computer, and then reformatting the card in your "storage settings" on your phone. (Be sure to back-up your files, because formatting the card will dump all of your files.

It could be that your device isn't up to date. Go to your settings and make sure that your phone is up to date on its updates. The s4's were known to overheat initially and it took multiple updates from Samsung/the phone carriers to fix it.

Edited to add: if it's none of these, then it is more than likely a hardware problem, as the device is "old" in cellular device terms.

Thanks, James. I'll have my son read your post and have him take care of the technicals.

BTW, I bought the ASUS touchscreen laptop the other day. I've been waiting for my data bucket to fill back up, but now may have to wait a little longer until the situation with my cellphone is resolved.

Also, have you gotten a new phone case, or do you have a tight phone case? Some cases don't allow proper venting and can cause overheat, but it's not likely the issue if it just started happening and you've had the same case for a long time.

Hurray! Touch screen will be fun! Congrats on the new laptop!!!

I took the phone out of the case when I noticed the heat...no difference, but better safe than sorry. Usually I leave the cellphone plugged into the power source, but not doing that anymore. I'll plug in only when it needs recharging.

I'm looking forward to using the new laptop. I got used to touch screen on my cell phone. Hilarious!

James, Could it be KD's battery? How old is her phone? What surface does it sit on?

Definitely could be the battery now that you mention it, especially given her cues of typically leaving it plugged in even when in high usage. The lithium batteries degrade much faster when charged all at once or charged while being used heavily, such as tethering data. They like to be charged in spurts and taken off of the charger when at full charge.

Marica, it's not the battery that is causing the heat...I changed it about 2 months ago. The phone is about 4 years old. And it sits on a plastic-coated grid shelving unit so gets ventilation.

I had unplugged it from the electrical power source after it reached 100% charge less than an hour ago and it has cooled down to normal now. Confused

Oh heck! I might as well ask about my Lap top :-)
I have a 4.5 yr old HP. It is over heating and running the fan on high 90% of the time. I cleaned under the vents and air blew the fan. He help to stop running 100% of the time. I changed the battery and update the power cord. I tend to bend the wires so they can short. I can't find a cord protector for just at the plug in. I am hard on all cords.

That's how my old computer (Toshiba Satelite) was acting right before it bit the dust. I bought a new HP at Best Buy and they transferred all my files/photos, etc. to the new computer. I like the HP just fine; much better than the Toshiba. (Just my opinion.)

Where did you find out that the laptop's fan speed is 90%? You may need to open up the case and spray some of the components with compressed air. Dust can prohibit the cooling system from working properly. Be careful while doing this though! I strongly recommend you follow my instructions below before you clean the inside.

What's more likely is that it's caused by a program. Run Task Manager by searching in the Start Menu (without the quotes) "taskmgr.exe". Right click on it and select "Run as Administrator". Accept any User Account Control prompts related to it (make sure it's digitally signed by Microsoft). In Task Manager, make sure the little box "Show processes from all users" is checked. Go to the "Processes" Tab. There, you will see a CPU column on top. Click the CPU column. The little arrow should face downwards. That will make Task Manager list processes in order that are heavy on CPU. Simply tell me what they are in your next reply (post more than one please). I'm guessing it's svchost.exe...

If you're running Windows 8/10 it will be different. These are instructions for Windows 7 — contact me if you need help to do so. (The reason why I gave you Windows 7 instructions is because of your PC's age.)

Good luck and don't forget to tell me what processes are clogging your CPU!
