BWV, I will try the above to night thanks. My computer blue screened a few months ago so I have been loading new programs. I just cleaned everything with air. I removed the middle cover and carefully sprayed there. I sprayed the side vent for the fan while it was running.

The cpu is overheating. Over time, the thermal paste will dry out. Open up your laptop, take out the cpu, clean the surface and remove the old paste with alcohol wipe, apply new paste and put your laptop back together.

*** when you put the cpu back into the socket make sure the little triangle on the cpu lineups with the triangle on the socket or else you could bend or break those little pins.

I think it's just a program. Could be malware or just an annoying Windows service...
